no reply to my last request :( obviously not enough trike love here.
I'll have another pop, does anyone know of a single or dual pivot brake that will clear a schwalbe big apple, or even better, a mud guard too. the mud guard is about 6cm wide.
will these work?
they're these by the way

Which Big Apple?

My second inclination would be to not attempt the project in the first place, I have a feeling it might end up being harder to do the proposed conversion well than it is to start from scratch.

I have a pair of those Alhonga things. I've no experience with Big Apples, so can't help there, but if you need an specific measurements of those calipers, I could get them for you.

ah ok I'll do it. is there any chance of them stretching around the mud guard you reckon? need to work out how to mount them.
does anyone know a good welder? there's a steel fabricators just round the corner but I'd prefer to do it with someone to make sure they understand what I need.

mdcc - the trickiest bit has been done already - got a frame from christiania so all I need to do is connect it all together. bit more framework on the underside will do the trick.
on the lookout for a decent internal geared hub as well if anyone has anything. oh and what's the best way to work out the correct rim size for a frame? got a feeling it takes 24" wheels though want to be sure.

At work, i notice that the SKS' mudguard may able to cover the Big Apple, look just as big as my mudguard with the 2.35 Fat Frank.
Your chainstay's the most important, make sure it fit, would've lend you my old ruined Fat Frank but gave it to a local mechanic.
I haver an Nexus 8 speeds internal hubs but laced with a 700c touring rims, useless?

All painted. Proper shots of this should be appearing on Ricky Feather's blog tomorrow...

Thanks for the offer but i think 700c is way off. if the hub has a roller brake and you'd like to keep the spokes and rim however......
-

the hubs do have roller brake, it also come with the grip shifter needed.
I'll see what I can do at work, will send you a pm'd once I took it apart, £110 for the hubs included the roller + grip shift?

Carlton has returned from having replacement seat stays + a respray/decals
Very excited about getting it built up!
Who did the work for you..?

This is my first attempt at building a bike from new parts as my last 3 projects have been 70's/80's steel single speeds.
I think I went a bit over the top with the gold!!!!!!!

It's a selle smp cut out saddle to help blood flow I have them on all my bikes....
No-one wanted that bike/idea? I thought that was such a good idea, and at a totally excellent price. meh. when you see things like the 410 pound Pug on ebay with no-brakes and bmx pedals, doesn't half make you wonder! I likez tha bullbarz though!
