  • calm down dear, you posted it here to get opinions, don't be grumpy if they're not the same as yours. If you like it, thats what matters, no one else has to live with it

  • ^ its your bike, noone else is riding it.

  • slaytanic is just takin a piss with all of his "fuck you" comments
    isn't he?.......

  • btw the purple stem is horrid, esp after "a year worth of putting together" comment

    :))

  • why isn't a concor saddle not decent? Are you fucking retarded?? fuck this forum.

    u mad???

  • Anyhoo, is there anyone out east who has the means to cut down my steerer and re-fit the star-fangled nut thing? Beers involved.

And if anyone happens to have an 80mm black ahead stem (25.4 clamp) or airwings, hit me up.

  • I have a pipe cutter and a hacksaw, and to fit the nut you just need a hammer.
    I also have airwings.
    PM me.

  • bromance! henry - lmnh 6pm

  • Take it to facebook

  • Finally find the kind of raleigh shopper/porteur bike* I was looking for. Quite chuffed.

What size of wheels are these? The diameter of the rims are 18 inches while the diameter of the inflated tyre is 20 inches. Does anyone know of a particularly puncture resistant tyre in that size?

    • it's a Porteurette! I've invented a new word!
  • Cheers Henry, I owe you one.

  • Check the tyre wall, but I think the ETRTO size is 451 in which case a Schwalbe Durano would be the obvious choice http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/schwalbe-durano-hs399-rigid-tyre-20-x-1-1-8-inch-%2828-451%29-prod19923/

  • starfish, that tyre look pretty skinny! nice shopper though.

I got a new Nexus 3 speed coaster hubs 20" wheel I can sell to you if you want something like that, doesn't come with the shifter/cable though.

  • Thanks, but not looking to buy anthing at the mo. Just wanted to be prepared for the day when I inevitably will have a puncture.
Just curious, how much for your 3 speed wheel?

  • £75, build with BMX rims, hasn't been used yet.

  • kool. I'll keep it in mind if I ever decide to change the whole drivetrain -> BB-crankset-hub.
not in my budget at the moment mind.

btw, would I be wrong to put a honey coloured saddle on a purple bike?

  • Only if you have matching grip, you can try putting cork grip on as well.

  • new bike! i need to get a smaller stem but other than that i loves it
massive thanks to Aroogah and Bodieanddoyle

  • holographic foil

Nice bike, what exactly do you mean by holographic foil? Got a pic as an example?

  • was that in the waterloo evans the other day? looked quite nice (the schwinn)

  • ...Please leave the spoke jokes, they are a bit played out.

    What arrospokin' about?

  • Chris - Beautiful Carlton, Love it to bits....
Dave - Amazing effort, still feel for you and the Vivalo. Well done 'bringing it back'.
Buckaroo - Top marks right there.

  • I saw Crumb's bike last night and it looks good in real life too. Black bits ftw.

What cranks are those by the way?

  • They're BLB (Andel) cranks.

Looks fecking good Felix! Happy as a pig in shit would be an understatement I'm guessing? Cranks look good:]

  • well done felix
