Anyhoo, is there anyone out east who has the means to cut down my steerer and re-fit the star-fangled nut thing? Beers involved.
And if anyone happens to have an 80mm black ahead stem (25.4 clamp) or airwings, hit me up.
-
• #35907
I have a pipe cutter and a hacksaw, and to fit the nut you just need a hammer.
I also have airwings.
PM me. -

Finally find the kind of raleigh shopper/porteur bike* I was looking for. Quite chuffed.
What size of wheels are these? The diameter of the rims are 18 inches while the diameter of the inflated tyre is 20 inches. Does anyone know of a particularly puncture resistant tyre in that size?
- it's a Porteurette! I've invented a new word!

Cheers Henry, I owe you one.

Check the tyre wall, but I think the ETRTO size is 451 in which case a Schwalbe Durano would be the obvious choice http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/schwalbe-durano-hs399-rigid-tyre-20-x-1-1-8-inch-%2828-451%29-prod19923/

starfish, that tyre look pretty skinny! nice shopper though.
I got a new Nexus 3 speed coaster hubs 20" wheel I can sell to you if you want something like that, doesn't come with the shifter/cable though.

Thanks, but not looking to buy anthing at the mo. Just wanted to be prepared for the day when I inevitably will have a puncture.
Just curious, how much for your 3 speed wheel? -
• #35915
£75, build with BMX rims, hasn't been used yet.

kool. I'll keep it in mind if I ever decide to change the whole drivetrain -> BB-crankset-hub.
not in my budget at the moment mind.btw, would I be wrong to put a honey coloured saddle on a purple bike?

• #35917
Only if you have matching grip, you can try putting cork grip on as well.

I saw Crumb's bike last night and it looks good in real life too. Black bits ftw.
What cranks are those by the way?

They're BLB (Andel) cranks.
Looks fecking good Felix! Happy as a pig in shit would be an understatement I'm guessing? Cranks look good:]

calm down dear, you posted it here to get opinions, don't be grumpy if they're not the same as yours. If you like it, thats what matters, no one else has to live with it
