Stop hating on shit just because you're supposed to think they are anti according to the fashion police. Just look at the bike and judge it for what it is, it looks good.

OK. Done. Still don't like it.
-
• #35880
Ok might be taste then, just wanted to make sure you weren't just hatin for the sake of it.

to be fair it would be lovely with an all black h+son wheelset with decent tyres, a silver stem, a decent black saddle and black bartape covering the whole bars.

If we are going to debate... I'd say it would actually look better with risers, yes, risers, as is it's a classic looking frame with fashion wheels and stem, if you are going to reappropriate a frame go the whole hog, don't pretend it's going to go near a velodrome with drops...

This is Staytanic we're talking about, that bike is his thing.

now that just doesnt make sense

Drops are not just for the velodrome. If you like going fast, drop bars are the way to go.

Sorry, my previous comment prob sounded too caustic.
Each to their own, I'd prefer it with different wheels and/or bars... Not meaning to knock anyones build... -

The wheels are worthless... Give them to me...
okey mate, go catch!!!! hoopp hoooppp!
Would of thought a Carlton would have a wrap over stay? Like this one... on my now completed Raleigh Carlton which for some god damn reason had to have a god awful Mirage 115mm Bottom bracket used... Christ sake.

i would have think the same, some related story background about this frame was my 2nd thought either. this frame was shortened, from 55 to 49 to fit the pre-owner needs.

Ok, the bike is now complete. Had its first ride on last nights alley cat. Cheers to buckaroo for drawing up the decals, really good job. Please leave the spoke jokes, they are a bit played out.
I remember your posts when you last one was stolen and I have immense respect for your persistence and patience. Enjoy.

So here are a few quick iPhone shots of my new bike... As it's too nice outside to wait around to find my camera cable!
Still got to add LeveL decals that I'm getting done in holographic foil...

My old wheelset and bars/stem :-)

Yep it's a creation of cast offs from the forum :)

as i'm sure you know, the problem with 'spokes is that they are heavy bad wheels which cost a ton of money... so putting them on a bike is an immediate fail.
bike is nice, but needs a silver stem and a real front wheel
Please tell me why it needs to be a plain anodized stem? I will tell you why it doesn't, because it's my bike, my choice of parts and my I add that they are decent parts. I know what I want and this is how my bike will be.

Are you getting rattled by a couple of newbies?
Nearly great bike, wheels and stem less so... They just don't go...
