  • it is nice, i alternate 47 x 17 and 47 x 18. think i actually prefer the latter, nicer in rolling country anyway.

    ditto, ditto, and ditto

    (weird)

  • that'd be a really nice bike without the hoods and just a front brake

Sorry, function over form - that set-up is the way it fits me, and the only way I'm happy riding it at the moment.

  • i need to get a new chain, had a half link lying about, also i have a set of ma40s im building up to DAs.

    Very nice...nice Chris...

Reminds me a bit of Donuts! old frame but with less stickers.

keep the hoods, ignore the fashion police. if you ride any kind of distance 3 comfortable hand positions make sense.

  • At last!

looks great with hoods marie, don't listen to the hipster hordes.

  • Very nice Marie! Well worth the wait I'm sure ;-)

  • hoods ftw.

Also 531 is far from shit.

  • At last!

    Very nicely done.

  • nice bars chris.

  • This is my current winter project... a charge plug freestyler spotted on the bay last week for £300 with some tasty 5 piece bmx style bars & a ti spoon saddle... good potential to make something a bit sturdier than my current bike and the ability to barspin on a 700c rim.

Stripped it down, took it to armourtex for some colour pimping based on a pile of black components I had kicking around that needed a new home.

Armourtex did a great job as usual & turned it around in 3 days, it's all just waiting to be assembled with a beer in hand, my favorite bit.

I've got a few options for wheels in my stash... will probably go for something black & sturdy with 28c conti contact sport tyres for comfort. I'll post the finished build soon.

  • At last!

Very, very nice. I just can't help thinking that Spoon looks out of place. A white Rolls/Regal would look excellent.

  • freestyler will look good once its built up

Pretty sure they did my frame at the same time as mine, as i saw it in there - great minds think alike ehh?

    can't barspin with a brake

  • flickwig... where the hell do I send you your clever boy medal?

although, it depends on how far you want the bars to spin really I suppose

  • @ vinylvillain

was yours lime green or white? I spotted a few bikes in there. There were 2 complete ghost bikes propped up by the door too which I think had been sprayed. a sad sight

  • fyi flickwig ; )

  • your picture doesn't indicate that set-up. nice armourtexing btw.

  • At last!

    That's very nicely done m a r i e. I'm glad you kept it, I hope you are too.

  • your picture doesn't indicate that set-up. nice armourtexing btw.

True, but I'm not gonna be riding using 2 cranksets, 2 stems & 1 innertube. sorry to be factious

  • That's a pity.

    :D

  • Nice nice Nick, looks like a wicked project. Looking forward to seeing that built up.

  • White:

Those ghost bikes are ones they are doing trials on to get an easy way of doing them, i think pipwish is behind it?

  • That's a very nice set up you've got there, scarily similar to what I have planned... I think we may even have the same bars :s
