    best bars ever.

It's all about gear ratio range for fully loaded touring. Plus it's nice to have small steps between gears to maximise efficiency and minimise fatigue. While the Imotion9 does have a large ratio range, it's still way behind the rohloff.

Don't forget the Alfine 11 and it's 409% gear range, pretty close to the rohloff for less than rohloff price.

  • liking them Titec bars....
@Sopa theres a shot from feb on page 5 of 29er thread, not much different now cept the balloon tyres, admiteddly when I first saw/heard about balloon tyres was like meh, looks wank, but the roll is a winner

  • @ *m.f like it.

  • Where you get these lights?

I'll tell you the price of one of those; £150-250.

not that close really and will still cost £450 inc changer! I imported my rohloff from germany for £700ish.
i also have a alfine and the removal of the rear wheel is bloody hard work - the rohloff is fantastic

  • not with a 50 lumens LED replacement they're not =)

I'm currently working on 'project Sturmey Archer' - turning an old SA front light with a built in switch into a battery powered (via internal battery pack) LED superlight (using one of these - a screw in LED replacement)

They're pretty shit if you want something to see ahead of you, it'll be just about enough to let other know of your presence but that it.

    you'll need this topic;

It's a solidlights dynamo light. Only arrived this week and I'm mega impressed with it - so bright!

  • one great thing about my bike, is eventually, if I decide that the SRAM is annoying I can swap the dropouts and go regular derailleur gears, easy as pie!

  • incidentally, i've been busy this morning:
Reindexed, new brakes, tuned wheels on Mum's bike:

Fixed the suspension, new brakes, complete gear overhaul on Dad's bike:

New tyres, retrue wheels, rebuild brakes (fucking wiennmans), index gears on Dad's old bike:
(look at the size of it!)

fingers crossed I can get them riding!

whats hard about it? de tension the cable, pop it out of the housing, then slip the nut out of the groove at same time as rotating the body, loosen the bolts and take the wheel off, piece of piss as long as you have got two hands, you have got two hands?

  • piece of piss as long as you have got three hands, you have got three hands?
