I just reconnected with my holiday's bike (father in law's unused bike). Last year I spent two days cleaning and refreshing it, this year I can start to have fun right away on the roads of Corrèze !
Vitus 979 with Shimano 105Really like that frame and the colour scheme.

1950 Claud Butler. I don't know what model but it had 531 stickers on it when I got it (under the brush-paint!). Sugino Supermaxy cranks, Mavic Open Sport rims on Zenith hubs, EAI cog, GB spearpoint stem, and a 1950s steel caliper which is truly awful. Will be building into a fixed tourer.

I already posted this in the 'Confess about your geared ride' thread but, seeing as it's a current project, am putting it here too (any excuse). :] Titaniun Van Nicholas Yukon with Ultegra SL (apart from the brakes which are Shimano something-or-other). There will be racks and panniers. dons cardy Eventually I'll get nicer wheels and will probably change the fork for one of them lurvly Easton jobbies but, for now, I'm pretty stoked. Gears. Fun stuff!

Nice one, Mr Wools.
I trust your Audax UK membership is in the post?
-
• #33043
Wools is that a double or triple up front?
Lovely bike by the way!
-
• #33044
Ha! No Audax UK membership for me just yet. :) Aim for the remainder of 2010 is to do one or two sportives. That and just ride this thing as much as possible.
Spenceey - I'm riding a double up front (with a big ring attitude). :)

Nice, I'm thinking about putting a triple on my Audax bike, really could have done with the smallest in France a couple of weeks ago with all the weight on the back of the bike.

Buy a wooden splint and bite down. Cheaper option. [/bravado]
Why not from the man itself?
