  • Built myself a single speed runabout seem to be using less gears the more I go on the track.

    Sweet frame...

  • Ignoring the saddle and imagining a front rack, my nottingham bike is done.

saddle will be changed for a Condor fake Regal, cos they be super comfy.

rides like a death monkey having sex with a tall bike.

  • Also this has been destroyed by a hard life so stripped and ghetto SS'ed it temporarily awaiting a nice SA/ other 3spd on a 27" rim, new saddle and bartape, and racks, and getting a clean, and it will be sweet.

  • Slack chain on the Quinn. I expect better from the likes of you

I'd be surprised if it wasn't slack. Check Henry's projects - it like a trade mark.

  • chain isn't slack- its perfect efficiency in motion.
    noobs.

    Also Current status:
Cousin's bike: (62cm or something)- simple SS/ fixed bike.

Drop bars and levers can be seen just about...

    Gf's bike:

    Geek with new Ortlieb awesomenessssss:

  • And the collection grows, again. Looking good.

  • Those bags are great. I wish I had a rack.

  • And the collection grows, again. Looking good.

I also bought myself a road bike with some money I got from selling other stuff off forum!
    super happy:
    (off a dirty harry)

gonna try riding it home from Warwick sometime soon.

    yup so 3 bikes:
Done (just need to pay for the new rear hub for GH2- AAAH!)
    Town,
    Country,
    Road.

    perfect.

  • Make sure to spray it black.

  • Including the bartape... Thanks G, feel much better now...

  • Moar bikes!

Henners, you'll cast them away once you've had your deviant fill of them.

  • The 'rookie' frameset is nearly your size!
    fucking mahoosive.

And no, I promise you- I'm done.
and much like Maxime, I'll be pissing off the forum soon.
(xcept I'll keep my job more than 1 week!)

    (love you max)

  • That Mather is pure sex. I wanted one before, but now I've seen the head badge!

Fox + ball gag? That must be a special request from DJ..

  • Brooks Honey for me, every time, or Velo Orange's stitched leather sleeve! That's on my Jensen and i now want it on everything! I was talking to the Brooks guys yesterday and they want to copy it!

Apologies for the knackered lever hood. To be fixed.

  • A frame just arrived at my office. It's this one:
    http://velospace.org/node/19313
    http://velospace.org/node/26893

It's smaller than I expected, and it's way more gorgeous than I expected.

In fact, here are some close ups that don't do the frame justice:

The BB is smooth and in great condition, the headset bearings are worn and need replacing, and there are a few minor beausage scratches on the frame and forks.

    It's really gorgeous.

This is for ladystardust, and I have a little concern that perhaps I won't be able to get bolt-on brakes for the aero forks. If that's the case then I'll probably be putting it up for sale, which would be a shame as it's really really stunning.

  • That does look gorgeous.

If a clamp on brake doesn't fit it's a pretty easy job to rectify as all you need is a flat strip of aluminium that you then bend to fit, then crimp it to fit the square threaded bolts that the brake caliper attaches to.

  • have a clamp on brake for oval fork blades ... in case you are interested let me know

great frame ... just way too small

  • also PMed with alternative solution - just in case ;)

Does it look purdy? I know there will be some solutions, but on this frame it really needs to have the aesthetics done right.

  • Black tape Joe, you know it makes sense

    I always thought you're a weapon. Now I'm certain.

  • So, born too late, you're saying that brooks had never before seen leather sew-on bar wrap? Flip, they need to get out more. Or just, like, fucking google it.

I found that stuff was a pain in the arse, but I am shit at sewing. Those sets of 3ttt road bars, that have it on already installed, have it so tight and nice, I couldn't seem to get close to that on my JRJ.

I like the buff-coloured cork tape you can get, have some cinelli that I like, just got a bit damaged though and I can't find any more. Otherwise white. Fizik. Buffed or shiny. End of.

    Black's alright I spose.

  • ...new Clusterfork (& brake!) on the Gangsta:

nice, i've just got that for my birthday. how is the paint holding up? my paint seems to chip and scratch really easily and it's not even built up yet

  • Dibs!!! Lust, lish etc... :O

  • But it's not a Colnago!
