  • Hi Loic!
Nope, no more pics, I've been a bit coy. Here's another one from the Southend ride for you.

Want to affix some nice mudguards on it, and chop the steerer down (it's threadless, and massively tall at the moment). THEN I'm going to get Rankin or Testino to do some 'casual' shots of it in a studio in Milan or Shoreditch, with some really chic girls on heroin in the background.

Been riding it like a demon though ;) It's lush.

Hope to see you soon man!

    Looks like Chris Evans!

  • KC your ladys bike looks lovely!

  • @Kingcutter

Is it my imagination or are those bars wrapped extremely thickly? I wouldve thought a petite person would find it harder to grip such fat bars.

  • Fuck off man... Is this forum here for advice or not? thought somebody might have one...

you can buy one here; http://tinyurl.com/37b4jln

This forum is here for many reasons, advising rude dimwits isn't one of them.

  • KC both bikes look great. But please don't use a Thomson seat post on a Colnago .. going to get flamed now by the Thomson devotees! .. The Colnago needs an elegant post. Use one from the same groupset manufacturer as you're using on this bike.

  • And I like it the best.

  • Lovely

  • New fork (A friend fucked the old one up falling on the bike - from a tree! last weekend)

Rides really nice... And I'm in the process of mounting gears in order to achieve blazing speeds.

  • bellisima cinelli

what crank is it riding.... very tidy.... im aroused

  • they look like galli cranks to me

  • The seat bolt/bolts on the yellow Cinelli are there two? Can't work it out.

  • One is just a badge.

Thanks. Campag Pista crankset, the fluted ones.

  • @jonhings - where did you pick that lovely supercorsa pista up! i love that frame, nice build!

  • Why so many Cinelli frames Jon?

Have you built the Merckx pista yet?

Thanks a lot. It was a special order from Italy. I wrote letters to them and they finally agreed to do it in the bright lemon colour they used to use on the estrada. These pics don't do the colour justice, its this colour:

I've had 4 of these cinelli pistas now, 2 bright yellow, and one blue. I'm gonna keep this one forever.

I just love the simplicity of the graphics and the style. I have only one now, this one. Haven't built the Merckx up yet. Still getting the parts together. That'll be a long project as the cinelli has wiped out my bank account ha

  • you should its looks amazingly nice, thats alot of cinelli you've had, why so much change around?
do you mind if i ask how much money you had to part with to have one?

  • Can't wait to see your Merckx built.

I first saw one in London, and asked Cinelli to paint one for me (as they'd stopped doing that colour) but when it came it wasn't the exact lemon shade. Then I sold that and regretted it, so went through the whole thing again, but again it wasn't 100% the right colour (more yellow than green/yellow). Then I had a big smash on that one so had to get a replacement so decided to ask for a specific bright lemon colour. I actually now think the one I saw on the road that got me in to them was actually the same colour all along and it was a trick of the light. Oh well.

Makes me embarrassed just thinking about it to be honest. The good thing is they hold their value(ish).

  • jonhings, life's too short to worry about such thing.

of course, apart from rents and food.

  • Can't wait to see your Merckx built.

It'll take some time as this cinelli has bankrupt me. Heres the fork for the merckx when it comes together:
