Been doing some mad polishing this weekend. All components for my new budget fixed gear conversion. All this stuff was proper grey when I started. The stem was corroded the worst and had to be taken right back with 400 grade wet & dry then 600 then 1200 then polishing bit in the drill and finally a bit of brasso wadding. pretty happy with the results tho. Can't wait to get the frame back from the painters
shoulda taken before and after shots

the pics of beige-wall luganos made me think... i wanted those tires on some minor-deep-V-profile rims, also mirror finish, but this doesn't look quite as i expected. hm... could you please post pics of it once on the frame? maybe that will change the perception. cheers
nice polishing job actually -

Yeah, I thought that after I'd finished. All I got is this pic of the bike before I started.
There have been times I wished I'd left it rat look. -

Jambon, that bike, even with the awful grip, the thick stem, and the silly looking saddle, look fucking gorgeous.

The Ti GT is cool as fuck...! I want it.
Looks like something Multi Grooves would ride.... Ti...GT... perfect.
-
• #28643
that GT has real potential. black and carbon parts would suit it well. A new threadless carbon fork and black thomson X2 especially.
-
• #28644
Agreed. I flippin' love GTs.

Right sorry this isn't a bike but its bike related.
My sister is writing an article about me for her degree, And wants to include lots of fixed gear in it. She's interviewing me tomorrow and I don't really know what I should talk about. Any Ideas.
I know I dont have questions to show you. But as shes my sister I could choose what to talk about entirely....
Cheers.(Shit I don't think that made much sense)

I kinda like the fork, a carbon fork would look rather big and beefy with the skinny tubing, defintely ride better though.

Tell her to buy a book called FIXED, it should help her greatly;

Cheers guys, thought people might not like it since it doesn't enjoy cappuccinos and the opera. I have played with the idea of a carbon front end but going to keep it aluminum atm due to funds. All in good time...
