  • personally no i don't think so but maybe they'll follow the likes of fbm and profile into the fixed market if they see money in it or the owners/riders get into it. you could just http://www.dmrbikes.co.uk/?Section=page&p=/contact/

  • it was more of a discursive comment than a specific inquiry... but thanks.

  • I was just thinking (but can't be arsed to start a new thread), are companies like DMR likely to start putting out track frames do we think?

well it won't be a track frame but it might take 700c

  • Tasty Paultrackend for the Raleigh Flyer, when it get welded onto the bike, the rest should fall in place easily (trip to armourtex for chemical bath and respray is next on the list after the welding job).

  • Here is the beggining of my first fixed bike which i'm putting together

Not sure if i paid too much but thought it looks like a sound frame to build on. Have bought a Tange chrome headset and will continue on the chrome theme through-out.

Have enjoyed reading everyone elses builds and hope to contribute to the site in the future!

    Thats pretty nice.

I'd say its not bad for the money. Maybe a little on the expensive side but if it is as good nick as the guy says (and the photos) suggest then it should be more worth it.

I don't keep track of current prices though so I could be way out. Nice frame regardless.

Are you gonna keep the braze ons? be a shame to file them down, especially when its just had a paint job.

  • it's a decent buy, you can actually get the Charge Dish wheelsets (the polished metal one) to go with the bike.

    http://www.chargebikes.com/products/parts/detail.php?id=223

keep the blaze-on, it's a classic looking frame that probably can be sold again in the future if you were to go after another frame.

  • Remember Jammy I got 1st dibs on that puppy. Seriously though thats a lovely frame. What size is it ? 58cm?

  • I'm keeping the frame as it is, doesn't feel right copping bits off! One of the reasons i liked it was that it had been repainted and chromed recently.

Not sure about the charge wheels. Looking to keep the style retro so deep rims rules that out

Any deas where I can pick up cheap crome/alloy bits other than the bay and here?

  • Mavic Open Pro in sliver should look right as rain (once you removed the sticker and got rid of the sticky resin with white spirit).

    if you want a slighty deeper V wheel but not too deep like the Velocity one, the CPX 33 is a decent choice;

as for hubs, even a cheap System EX (Zenith, Formula etc. same hubs different branding) hubs look classic luckily,

Yeah 58, Fits me fine with the seat up

  • just stipped my plug today.

i'm still not sure about finish/colour though. i'm leaning towards lacquered bare metal at the moment.

    Teflon FTW ;-)

  • i don't think the frame can take the curing temp!

  • Hey, Khy. I recongnize those sneakers. The frame is looknig good.

  • @koens, nice frame
@spags, keep it like that man.

  • Sweet frame, Koens, very sweet indeed!

  • .

  • you say tooooo much em.

I was watching that frame but it's a bit too small for me. It's a beauty though and the price was fair (it'd have been at least double that if it was a more recognised name like Colnago).

I look forward to seeing your final build.

  • Ian White Conversion - Finished!

531 frame, Langster wheels, Fizik, Oury, Gold Finger, chopped Nitto bars.

Most of the other parts are Shimano 600.

The back brake is a dummy but works by pulling the cable.

Eventually double straps and maybe a short top tube protector.

    The End

  • nice tight frame for a conversion!

Can I ask, why the dummy back brake?

  • hey tim, well spotted!

31 & ts - cheers guys! much lighter thani expected...

  • nice tight frame for a conversion!

Bike is for son, and the wife wanted a back brake.

If she notices it doesn't really work we'll put on a dual lever.
