  • Bought this off the forum a few months ago. 2nd coat.light sanding between.

  • Changed Crank and pedals.Oh, and changed saddle for Cinelli Unicanitor.
Gonna change bar tape at some point, any suggestions?

  • Bar tape - Black. Job done.

    Really lovely bike chancertime.

  • @ Wingedangel

    Lovely Zeus and Benotto.
That's the right head tube sticker on the Benotto?

  • this is so good. i am putting this in porn thread right now despite the front brake

  • hey man, is this powder coat or some sort of wet/acrylic paint? I am asking cause i had some frames powder coated and i don't like the way it covers it in a thick layer. although it's defntly more reliable and scratch resistant than acryl...

  • My mess of a current project is a couple steps closer to being less of a mess.

Slack chain - wheel not in properly. Only noticed after I took the photo.
Bars at a shit angle too.

Saw this on the Ride East, really nice dude!

  • Its just rattlecan paint, what's that ? Acrylic ? I don't know.
Anyway even after a few coats its really thin but the lug work shows well. I am gonna laquer spray -sand- laquer spray-sand 3 or 4 times.

I know rattle can chips quite easy but I don't mind it looking abit weathered. and besides a professional respray was abit much to be honest. Gotta try stuff 'aint
    ya ?

  • I like this bike edscoble, particularly the lugwork. It's nice.[

QUOTE=edscoble;1378000]The wheelset only cost me £135 from Freshtripe, great value for a lightweight wheelset.

check out Velo Orange rims, that's the one I'm using.

Holdsworth's perfect now, it's only the stem that was a bit off.

  • Finished!

chainline's not perfect but it'll be OK until I get round to redishing the wheel or getting someone to put a dimple in my chainstay.

  • ^ that i like
how come you need a dimple - innit a track frame?

  • thanks.

it's a track frame but the back of the chainring bolts contact the chainstay with the correct length of BB; it's a few millimeters out with the longer BB and a bit noisy. It's also a new chain and chainring too so things will (hopefully) bed down a little in time.

  • Finally finished my Roberts - took it to the Isle of Wight at the weekend and it rides like a dream. Full DA 7700 groupset. Apologies for the iphoto.

Pics of my condor to come...

  • Is that^ one of the new colts?

  • it's a track frame but the back of the*** chainring bolts contact the chainstay*** with the correct length of BB...

    Shorter bolts?

  • Sorter bolts may not work. I guess the heads of the nuts touch the stays.
Drill the spider of the crank for sunken heads or dimple the stay.

  • finally found most of the parts needed to build up my used mercian vigorelli...

panaracer paselas... of course... (on advice from Mr. C & reading Ed's posts) on silver mavic open pros laced to suzue promax sb. They have a special place in my heart since I used them on my first ever wheelset, which got destroyed when I was hit by a car.

Not sure about handlebars yet, either going for bullhorns or some raleigh northroad type bars, like ones ed posted a few hundred pages back (which appear as one of the top results when googling raleigh north road.. haha).

    well excited!

  • this just arrived in the post anonymously

it is not the stussy version
