^^^ I remember seeing that frame for sale a bit back - you've done a lovely job restoring it to its former glory!

Harry looks great but ditch the sti,s and use some Durace owntube shifters they are very good and index better than sti,in my opinion of course.
-
• #26983
Keep the STIs IMO
-
• #26984
Yeah, no plans to ditch the STIs I'm afraid Mark. In fact, I've fallen in love with them. They are massively better than campagnolo ergos that I've used.

good job harry. i would prefer silver rims something like ma2s but thats me

• #26986
And I'd also like to say, this is the first time i've used a Concor today.
And it is the most comfy saddle EVER.

Yeah, they're cxp22s. I'd have preferred silver, but I paid 92 quid for them brand new, laced to ultegra hubs. Can't argue with that.

not always just dished up 80 quid for NOS shimano 600 brake calipers and levers. not a bargain but really wanted to complete the groupset for new build and finding these gum hoods in this condition is ny impossible.

Ha ha, how old are you and your son? I just have this image of a middle aged man and 20 year old cruising around on a tandem BMX. :) Im sure this isn't actually the case!

Just ridden my new road bike back from the lbs, and I'm pretty chuffed at the results :)
nice build harry, a little incongruous with the ergo bars and sti, but rides good i bet

Yeah, I didn't try to go for a period build or anything, I just prefer classic frames, so it made sense to put a modern group on. She does ride nice :)

that tandem bmx is awesome, really nice work.
-
• #26999
Tandem BMX is the shit - whats the backstory on that, home brewed or OTP?

its an S&M, it'll be custom
Just ridden my new road bike back from the lbs, and I'm pretty chuffed at the results :) Slow purchase of parts through ebay and here mean I've done he whole thing for about £365.
531 frame with a full 9-speed ultegra groupset. Wheels are brand new, cassette, chain and chainrings are new/NOS, saddle is new. She rides beautifully.
