  • 790 for a frame!!!!!!!!!!!!

you probably payed like GBP20 for your rekord, ha? :)

  • I was in TFG for the very first time this week.

    Witnessed a customer pay 1,750 for a non-descript fixie with a spok.

Is that the going price for a brand new bike these days?

  • 790 for a **beat up old steel **frame!!!!!!!!!!!!

    fixed

  • Didn't pay 790 for the frame.

  • fixed

    Hahaha.........

    Pm'd ;)

  • latest frame, should arrive next week :)

should suit my stumpy legs, long torso

  • ^ i just saw that on ebay an hour ago and thought to myself - why didn't anybody buy it yet, it's just $300 :))

  • Is that the Don Walker? It's nice.

  • yep - Don Walker. Confirmed it with the big man himself - it's 94-95 era, made for Matt Chambers while racing Hellyer Park in San Jose.

  • And it's a Don Walker too, isn't it?

to be fair the top tube is stupidly long, so I'm not surprise that no one brought it yet.

edit - 7 minutes too late.

  • it's nice though

  • 61cm on a lo pro doesn't worry me too much. Original rider was 5'11", with a long torso - that matches me quite well. Gonna keep the stem down to 80 i expect

  • just realized it would've been perfect for 0 reach BMX stem and BMX style risers... damn! should've bought it!

it'll handle like a bizarre whippet with a zero rach stem.

  • 11pm is a bit early for sarcasm recognition fail, ed

  • no risers going anywhere near this baby - already have one silly lo pro ;)

does seem a bit steep but i guess.

    frame - £500
    cranks (75's) - £150
    spok - £350 (?)
    rear wheel - £250 (phil)
    tires - £50
    saddle/seatpost/bars/stem - £200 (easy if thomson)

    £1,500.

    hmmmmm.

  • Sugino 75 cranks are £150, chainring £65, bb £65 also the frame may have cost more then £500, also they probably have a labour charge.

  • i think the heat of afghanistan is getting to me, i just spent over a grand on NJS parts for my new build...

*note to self, STOP BUYING SHIT ONLINE..!!!

  • Just put on a longer stem and seatpost so the Freddie Grubb is finally finished! Rides a beaut.
