  • love the bars.

  • Looks nice, what tyres?

  • Hi there, I am new. This is my first fixed gear a £10 Peugeot from the tip, it isn't finished yet but thought I would stick my first post in this section too.

Let me know what you think, cheers.

what was wrong with the previous bars? Also foot retention.

  • Hi there, I am new. This is my first fixed gear .....

    With 'temporary' saddle and bars.

Looks fun, but unless the handlebars are amazingly comfy as they are, I suggest you put them on the right way.

What brake are you going to get?

  • Never heard of an air brake max?

  • what was wrong with the previous bars? Also foot retention.

    They are now on this...

  • Sorry about the crappy picture. This is my soon to be finished new bike. I'm ordering wheels this week, Mavic Open Pro on Hope 3 hubs. Should I stick to silver hubs and spokes, or get black ones to match the frame?

I have some Can creek TT levers, or some old Weimann levers and calipers that where on it originally, or is that a bad idea?

  • Cane Creek TT levers... do you mean bar end ones? For bullhorns? If so, no.

I'd suggest any brake lever you find comfortable using, and any brake that can stop you :)

So if you're not doing anything with the front Weinmann caliper, stick it on there and get a brake lever that's compatible with the bars you're using. I imagine the Weinmann lever is an old skool on for drops so I wouldn't really put that on anything but... drops.

  • Also foot retention is highly recommended but not as essential as a brake...

  • I've ordered some Easton bullhorn bars, I thought I could put a Cane Creek lever on them. You are correct about the Weimann levers, they where on the white drop bars that now live on the white Peugeot, so I guess they would be totally wrong for the riser bars. I wouldn't really be riding with the current set up. I don't know about straps, I like the look of the hold fast ones, if they would be compatible with DMR V8s?

  • maybe mdcc can buy it so he has a frame that fits

And keep the 56 for the track and the 53 for time trials, so you don't get my 53 even if I did buy it. I don't spend enough time at the track to justify a dedicated track iron, although that might change when the Pringle opens. More likely I'll live with the 53 on the track and eventually get a better TT frame, like a Cervelo T3

    Nice Coppi.

  • The last of the orange beauties. So tempted to keep it. Just can't think what to do with it, where to put it. Plus a Koga frame = Carbon track bars + DA track cranks + Carbon road cranks

  • Think I'm done...

  • Not to my taste, but if you like Blue and Yellow, I guess you're gonna be happy :-)

  • Nice! Fancy isn't really my thing but it looks great. Now pull that wheel back a bit :)

  • The frame is so loud I would not have had such colourful parts. Glad you're happy with it though!

  • Just sold one to arantek... but its not right for him, so he was gonna sell it on. Might be worth a PM.

    I've still got a 27 one?

Anyone got a Shimano 600 seatpost kickin about? 27.2

in the case of doubt... keep it

  • in the case of doubt... keep it

No sell it to me for £250; I'm only going to get half as much use out of it as my TT bike, so that sounds a fair price :-)

  • @ Fox - Looks tasty! First blue/yellow bike I've seen that doesn't scream Ikea.

    When I got it.

Please don't give that bike a paint job. Please!

  • It's alright, I have no intention of painting it. I like pink.

  • @BadScience: That bike is damn nice, congrats! I´d go for silver.
