So you managed to get the front Shamal then, Crane?
Sorry, I've only picked up the ones from Marco the other day and decided to keep the wheelset as a whole, as the finish is slightly different to the Cosmic. -

Don't take it to vaz..... just please don't. Send it to argos, its definetly worth the extra money to get it done properly.
Nice bike by the way! -

nothing wrong with converting it into a singlespeed, if it still look like a geared bicycle, it's a win.
can't be as worse as respraying a beautiful spray-painted frame into a dull colour and removed the brazed on.

I'm all for conversions.
Conversions= win.
fixed road bike= win.
geared bikes= win.
All bikes= win.
especially Velib-style bikes in Dublin, I wish I'd brought some Atacs and shoes, standard pedal thread and all.
They are also kept well- or just really really new.
I was going to post one as a current project. -

I'm a late starter
I have been offered this by a colleague for about £200 ish. It's done bugger all miles and has 9spd Campy Xenon groupset. Was considering buying an audax/fast touring frame and swapping it all over as I want rack mounts for summer touring.
Bargain/Ripoff? Genius/Muptard idea?
