Do you want to sell that Flite Saddle by the way?
-
• #22754
Oh.....
-

Covered the chrome up with electrical tape. No puppies killed there.
IMO the original paint job was bent.
Air brush paint jobs are for truck convensions.
Will be getting it powdercoated soon with the chrome all masked off.

Oh yeah, might be up for selling the Flite. Gonna give it a few miles and see if I like it first tho.
-
• #22757
Well at least you masked the Chrome. Still looked a really interesting, fairly unusual paintjob - I would've kept it for sure - different strokes.

Why buy second hand when you could have a new one?

Each to their own but that was porn before

I'm blown away by how many people like that paint job! Maybe I should have offered it up for a swap but the paint wasn't in the best condition anyway.

http://www.lfgss.com/thread37661.htmlCheers for the offer, but i can't afford to drop £45 on a saddle at the mo...
Plus there are new ones on the bay for £35 (maybe not titanium rails, but i'm not a weight weenie). -

one of these is on its way to me

wtf.

The electrical tape is still on there with the chrome all lovely and shiny underneath I even gave it a polish before wrapping it up. As i'm gonna be riding it in the shitty weather I thought it would be better protected that way.

Rode it like this for a week (original paintwork went within hours) and it was really nice appart from the bars were really uncomfortable when on the drops. I don't know how they are meant to be positioned and I'm sure I've tipped them too far up now but I'm used to a more modern set up. + went for the STIs. I've never had a geared road bike and I didn't like having the shifters on the down tube.
-
• #22772
Also, in my deffence, it had one of these on each side of the top tube.
-
• #22773
And you got rid of it????!
EPIC FAIL!
-
• #22774
you don't have defense...
-
• #22775
Ah well, It wasn't for me and I reckon it's going to look rad when it's powder coated and got all new decals etc
please say that is not the same bike.....
the 'before' is one of the sweetest paintjobs ive ever seen!
