just saw this comment, the bar is 40cm, wanted a 42cm but it'll do and it's not narrow enough to construct my chest.

as for the stem, I'll be using an ahead stem, but quill stem are doable, I seen some example on flickr, however I'll do some test with a 26 clamp size stem and a 26.4 Cinelli with shim to see which'll able to go through the aero section;

Put these bars on the Malvern Star for shits and giggles last night. A little bit too wide for my liking (~50cm wide), but I’m going to keep an eye for some skinnier ones (~40cm wide). Oh yeah, the Nitto stem was all I had, but it kinda works. Oh yeah, I can still track stand and skid with them!

Yeah, might hold off of the 3TTT’s for now.

I mean, the bars I’ve got on there were free (kind of, they were off a 3-speed ladies step-through we have in the shed), so I may try these out this weekend before spending 60-odd bucks on bars I don’t like because they’re too wide.

50cm? that's pretty wide, you can trim off the end slighty to make it a bit less narrow, the other option are those french-style one that you can try and get for 42cm, like the Velo Orange/Nitto Montmartre bar.

it's just a case of getting used to it, my Cinelli Priest bar is 52cm, but doesn't feel that wide, in fact it's perfect.

give it a while, like a couple weeks and you'll able to adapt yourself after years of narrow drop and riser.

I has a pair of 42cm belleri porteurs with a little less drop than the vo ones with nicer engraving. My girlfriend has 50cm nos belleris as well. Nice shape but I'm gonna need a long stem to get the bars in a sensible place for me...
Keep your eye out on ebay, quality is nicer than the vo and I got nos for cheaper than them as well ;)
