level is japanese, not sure of that though. maybe columbus tubing??
It'd be pretty nice if it was a Japanese Level - doesn't have the reversed lettering logo though.
Without a sticker, I have no way of knowing what type of tubing it is?

H, that frame is sweet!

Chris Boardman's management company ran a team called Level 4 around that time I seem to remember. If it's anything to do with them then it'll almost certainly have been built by Terry Dolan.

I couldn't remember what bike Yvonne McGregor rode when she took the women's hour record at Manchester but that page suggests it was a Level 4 machine, which would make sense given she was part of the North Wirral Velo elite squad that Boardman was behind then. I watched that attempt live.

Nice.
It seems the end 'L' has a cross through it making it a '4'.
Leve4? Level4? Then the '4' is on the forks too.
No matter what it is, it's great. -

Yeah, I'm thrilled with the frame - if a little jealous. I'll make up for my jealousy by moving the parts on my bike that I want to upgrade on to hers, and buy new stuff for me ;)

sorry missed the questions about he sprayed spinergy!
If you can get a few of you together i can get some wet sprayed for beer money to the painter. I sprayed over the machined braking surface which has now scrubed off and looks fine.
Can do any colour but would be good if we can get batches so we don't have to keep cleaning down. We would have to surply the paint and cive the sprayer a drink!let me know....

Found some pics of Yvonne McGregor in 1996 riding on the same team frame (the geometry is a bit different though). Can't find any pics of her 1995 record attempt though? Anyway, very good memory Andy!

Hello all,
here is my bicycle in it's latest incarnation, I've learnt wheel building, and after having had great fun building these two, I've resprayed the frame to match:

Without in any shape or form being negative, does a track frame that's built to be stiff, feel uncomfortable to ride over rough roads and such ? Or is there give and take ?
-

^ that bike is a lot more comfortable than it probably looks. My wrists get a little sore after about an hour of riding, but that's it.
The frame is stiff, but no more uncomfortable than any other bike without suspension. -

asm is no good at staying stiff.
So I've herd.;)
