SP... that looks so good now it's finished.
It's such shame those Pasellas will only be that lovely tan colour for about a week, or until the first downpour.
Well done though, a really well considered build.

Aww, fanks! I'm chuffed to bits with it. The nicest thing is that it fits me perfectly. What made me laugh was that when I took it out for the first time today I rode for about a mile before I remembered I could freewheel! Hills are fun again.

@ Mr.C - That De rosa will be epic with some nice paint + Decals.
I was joking with the whole cake thing.

Dylan, it's a Cateye LD1100 with a Cateye rear carrier mounting bracket to adapt to the German standard 50mm spaced horizontal eyelets on the rack. I thought for a while about using the Busch and Moller tail light which is practically designed to fit Tubus racks, but decided it was too ugly and crap. The Cateye is actually installed upside down so that it can be removedby quick release. I hope it doesn't fall out.

just finished this vintage 50's armstrong build. I'm getting some white walled tyres soon which i'm hoping will make it look all that. happy with the build though, seeing it's my first.

i had no idea you could do that cos i was looking for something similar for ages, but gave up, because i wasn't riding the tourer so much.
Brilliant light and i will be doing the same, thanks ! -

fast as lightening Max, but punctured the front during the pissing rain, so i have the pleasure of fixing my first tub. I'm not sure if that's a good thing tho, but we'll see, im not bad with technical stuff so im confident i'll get it right 1st time.
I am building a 2nd pair of beater wheels with some cxp33, onOne hubs etc... that's due to be finished this week.
thanks for asking and i should definaitely get my arse down to wests so you can have a lookseys

Henry, what wheels are you using?
-
• #19321
Just one thing, you have an amazing touring bike, a great mix of classic and modern. But why the mini pump? It just looks wrong in my opinion. You have a bike capable fo doing a grand tour on, then you stick an emergency pump on it.Surely finding a nice frame fit pump is easy enough.
Its not a critiscism of the bike, more an observation,as the bike is amazing! -

went with black tyres, the red looked awfull, still waiting on the front end
