    Caught!

Yep, I think it was seeing that that inspired me to lug the frame home, and I had something like it in mind when I was putting it together. Credit where credit's due. On the other hand, I'd been due to do up another friend's old Misty a while back but her mum binned it before we had chance! I do like a nice mixte.

  • the kebab shopper, just about finished. Took the shots on the way down the hill for bar tape bits.

    RB

  • feelin' that!

  • Shorter is pretty much done. Just need to sort the brakes out now. This thing is going to fly!

Alan needs it's STIs replacing, as one has worn out now. I have some 105s to swap onto it. I'm going to rebuild the wheels onto Hope Pro III hubs with Mavic CXP11 rims too.

The Harrison need a new back wheel (it had the disc on it, in track mode before) and a bit of making-good. I'm considering putting my honey B17 on it, and getting some matching bar tape. Don't know if it will look right though?

Full size photos in here if anyone wants to see higher res images.

  • The shorter is awesome. Looks well fast.

  • Shorter is very very nice.

  • I hope that isn't a white chain.

  • I hope that isn't a white chain.

    No, it's a sram teflon coated jobby. It's a silver/grey colour.

Nice one. I want to see this mike in Names & Faces, accompanied by you eating a chicken kebab (chili sauce, garlic mayo, lemon juice, lettuce)

  • Baybutt, take that cork out immediatly, I haz copyright.

  • awesome

  • I really like that Dolan, but the paint job looks suspiciously like my Nelson:-) Although I don't get the Union Jack! And I am in the process of changing things i.e the gold hubs are going..

Jesus, you must be even shorter than me? :-$

  • Nah, I'm not that short really, 5' 8, and it's a 54cm (they've got short TT's). Well I guess it's a tiny bit small for me, the next size up is a 57cm, so I erred on the side of caution and went for slightly smaller.

  • Lovin that Kebab Shopper.

  • baybutt, that kebab bike is ugly as hell, I love it! and that shorter lo pro is looking awesome too.

  • Still gotta replace/shorten rear axle, get better brake calliper and lever, maybe get a shorter BB so the chainring can go on t'other side of crank, probly remove the stickers.

  • Nuknow, what is that frame you're building up?

If you mean the I posted last week (greenish), it´s a RAP.

  • @ SD lovely shorter. Ride it hard. Ride it far.

I ride a 54 and I am 5'10". Fits perfectly with an 11cm stem. I think the frames just look small because of large down tube and integral headset making head tube look small. If I could change anything it would be to add a degree or two to the seat tube angle.

  • I finally got this built (apart the front brake that needs a longer fastening bolt).

    Nice lugs?

Took it to shepherds bush today for a happy ride in the sun.

  • Fucking hell, look at the angle of the seat tube!

Just thinking the same. Lovely bike though.

Kashimax do a padded saddle model I think. With that seat tube – padding FTW!!!

  • sweet! ^

And awesome wheelset too, and in my size :)

  • Cheers, yeah the hubs in particular make me mildly moist.

  • oh and your chainline looks pretty perfect too^
