Hi all,
Picked up my new Dolan TT/Track bike up recently, just needs a saddle and chain putting on. Paint scheme is a love it or hate it scheme, so will probably end up in antiporn. The previous owner had the frame custom made and i happen to have the exact same measurements, so should fit perfectly. Will be used next year in TT's and ideally as well on the track.
Includes Campag hubs on Mavic CP33 rims, Sugino 75 crankset (perfect condition), Bontrager Bars and Stem, Utegra Front Brake
Pics here:
Thats really nice, what size frame is it, and how tall are you?

On another subject didn't there used to be a girlfriends bike building thread somewhere on this forum?
I'm fucked if I can find it.
I think thread you're talking about was a for sale thread - obviously a woman's bike - that turned into a bit of a show and tell about bikes for gf's... Think the bike being sold was pink, but i'm struggling to remember who the frame was built by, or who started the thread... sorry.

Going to purchase a new set of wheels for the BJ too.
some (full) vintage mudguards would be nice on that (with those clearances too).

check this out Nukow. Great article about rolling out dents before filling them.
Wow, nice to see that, Thanks A LOT!... I´m still a bit reluctant about the frame though.. As mention there: ***"...Don't try to straighten a bent frame by rolling out a bubble or wrinkle - like the one that forms under the neck after a front end crash. That frame is seriously weakened and is trash.... if the dent is close to the ends of the tube... that means the frame is toast as well." ***
I´m pretty sure the frame ticks both these boxes...

Also am getting further will my S-Works - new S-Works stem and carbon bars (picked up for £30 of CRC) have arrived. New Cranks are also here, so when everything else arrives i will fit the Utegra groupset.
Pic;
Nice Dolan Adam just a little heads up on the SWorks you need to keep moving the seat post as it seems to stick quite a bit with that aero design,i have a similer frame and Sworks seatpost.

I'm really a fan of the Sworks
If i was to buy a geared bike i would be looking for one of them -

The Dolan is a little 'Special' I really cant wait for my first ride on it, probably on Saturday. Its in fantastic condition, the cranks spin for ages with the slightest tap and the wheels are great. Can't decide if i like the paintwork yet, but im sure i'll get used to it.
S-Works is hopefully to be built up this weekend. I have a Carbon Toupe 143 saddle on the way and some FSA SLK Carbon Cranks (still need a BB). I've got to shift the Ultegra Groupset from my Giant CFR and give it a good clean, as its been my commuter for the last month.
Cant wait to hit some hills on the S-Works!

I really like that Dolan, but the paint job looks suspiciously like my Nelson:-) Although I don't get the Union Jack! And I am in the process of changing things i.e the gold hubs are going..

I have everything for my shorter TT build, except the spokes for the front wheel now.
Sorry for the pathetic photos, but they give you a rough idea! Unfortunately, the bank is getting on my back, so it may have to be sold straight away :(
The ambrosio disc is going on the back, and the zipp on a dura ace front hub. I have some Cinelli LA84 bars too, which suit the geo perfectly. I'll try and get some photos of it all buit tomorrow, if the spokes arrive in the post.

I've just finished this. A sort of accidental project while I get the cash together to finish off my proper project. It'll probably go to a friend of mine who's just getting into cycling. I've a feeling she'll add a wicker basket.
It's an early 80s Raleigh Misty frame, salvaged from a heap of abandoned bike junk at work, stripped of decals, gears, rack and mudguards, and given a thorough clean and regrease. It's nothing particularly special, but I like the mixte design and the shape of the chainguard. The white bits are new; the wheels and all other parts were sourced from other dead bikes. All in it came to £64.10. I'm rather pleased with it. White is the new black, or something.

this is my ride. It's a Peloton from Japan built by Mr.Shitamori.
I"ll change the saddle to a kashimax aero, these kashimax 4P's aren't ridable on the streets and will buy another stem/handlebar combination, so if you have a used nitto123aa (38/39cm) and nitto proaa stem (90mm), please drop a line. :)
