For track? Why?
No, for skidding all over the place

Thanks guy, I'm going for 50x15 purely because i have a 50 tooth chainring and a 15 sprocket. And the 88 gear inches was based on 23mm clinchers. I won't be running tubs just yet.
Ps what is is stayer racing?27" is a nominal measure used for standarisation - 50x15 is 90" in these terms, which is at the high end of the scale for Herne Hill. Your knees will thank you for staying in the mid-80's (more info here). You only need a bigger gear (90"+) when you're being paced. Trying to turn 100" over unpaced into a headwind at Herne Hill would be an epic amount of anti-fun.

France is the place to find that frame - most were sold there, a fair few in the US and Japan, but rare as rocking horse shit elsewhere

You must have hands like a roofer if you're man enough for grip tape!!
Used to kill me cutting and fitting tape on decks as a yoof. ;) -

note that you get the complete bike + two wheelsets, five cogs, two chainrings and the tt-handlebars.. not outstanding bargainlishious, but not a bad price IMO.
didn't the frameset sell for 280 quid a couple of weeks ago?

It looks like you've made a lot of decisions based on an aesthetic. That's common with 1st builds. That's not meant as disrespect – bikes meant different things to different people.
Your right i like things for the way they look rather than the job they do.If something does the job and looks awesome im going to use it on a build.Although apart from the spok everything else is pretty decent component wise.
Im glad you can appreciate where im coming from. -

OK, I am starting a new project....would like to paint it Pearl White... I wonder does anyone of you have experience in achieving Pearl White finish with wet paint?
Easy. Go here, and then you can also buy it here.
btw. pearl its a finish not a colour, and my experience with pearl finishes is that it never comes in white, it´s applied over white, e.g. typical sea pearls have a green pearl finish.E.g.: http://www.troc-velo.com/velos-route-piste-look-alu-1-1-267557.htm
Thanks for ruining my x-mas.... now I´m considering selling my kidney for this ; )
(it´s actually stupidly cheap... : O ) -
