it's for this one if someone would care to tell me what to get. http://velospace.org/node/24230
Is that fork drilled?? I wouldn't put a brake lever like that on that bike, I think something more like this would suit:

Are you sure this is an original Gazelle Ch. Mond. Cyclocross frame ?
Does look very strange...
Colours, cable routing, bottle bosses, rear brake cable through t/t, seat stay caps, worn decals, ...Picked this up today, Gazelle Champion Mondial Cyclocross. Not really sure if I'll keep it this way or make it SS.

Ended up with enough parts for three complete bikes again.
Latham finally has a nice wheelset of its own. Campy record to Wolber Profil. Plus came across some nice Cinelli Pistas.
Vivalo is just being used for track this season. Wish I had some tubs for her.
The Cecil Walker just looks weird as usual.

Just spent the weekend getting soaked in wales lapping lakes and hills in bala on this
largely agreeing with the statement that fixed is the gateway drug to all forms of cycling

That, sir, is fucking beautiful. The things I'd do for a proper ti road bike...
-

you wouldn't have to do that much. in fact that exact bike is available for £1200. quite amazing...5 hour ride on a bike i'd never ridden before and not a single ache the next day. ti joy.

Comments?
Lovely frame, and if you make those changes it'll be a sweet bike. Must admit to not being a great fan of the rims though.
The stem is very long, is the frame a bit short for you?

Stem looks about right. When using risers/flats I think a longer stem is required as the bars/your hands are much closer to the body and higher than if resting hands on the hoods of drop bars.
I would say the opposite and people who use risers and a short stem have a badly fitting bike! -

Just finished this today.

/attachments/17241Can't compete with some of the other projects recently and the chainring was supposed to be black, but I am very happy with it.
and yes the chain is a little slack.

hey babybut what make is the frame?
I've got an old raleigh with the same forks, but it got resprayed years ago and i'd like to try and work out what decals it should have.

Think thats a Raleigh Esquire - I had one briefly was set up with old 26 inch wheels with SA 3 speed - Was a pretty heavy tank!

The one I've got is is ss, but has 26" as well. The handle bars are a bit odd... will try and find a pic.. so with the small wheels it handles strangely but I've always loved it for its simplicity
It was my great uncles - he bought it when the drink driving laws came in.

Mine had fairly classic handlebars, fairly similar to north road handlebars.
Wish I hadn't given mine away now :-(
