  • that black tie thing sounded a bit cuntish- As many people know I went to that place for uni, my gf is still there. occasionally we have these stupid nights out where everyone dresses like a cunt and you network. I'm applying for medical school and this is a medical fundraising event. I'm really fucking excited as it will mean I will meet lots of doctors who'll hopefully give me some work experience...

Just make sure you get a photo that will come back and haunt you when you are poised to rule the world

Loving your quiver of rides Henry - cant wait to see GH2 in all its glory

  • that Hetchings is superb Marcola.

  • Thanks for the comments.. :) The frame seems to be in very good nick for it's age yes.. I suspect it must be from about 1986-1990.. Again it dosn't look like it has been used that much.. chainrings and the cassette are not worn that much... But it was stored really badly so I suspect the rust on the crome has come from moisture in the basement where I found it.

I think I'll try to remove the worst rust-spots from the crome, fix the headset - perhaps it'll be fine after a clean->regrease and then just start to building it up.. :)

The frame seems pretty nice.. :)

I believe its older. Around 1980. Later rossin's tend to feature there rather special BB shell. But I'm not an expert.

true HM you are not an expert....merely a pisspoor cards player...MAN UP! p.s you cant be mean to me, i have dead relatives!

  • I have those rims! Where'd you get them from? They came with a bike i bought off ebay, built to gran compe hubs. Fantastic wheelset, really light!

    this^

  • awesome- where did you find it?
i had been looking up cycle speedway bikes recently (polo) but never found any for sale. Archie Wikinson seem to be the only company still making them.
Just to warn you now, its going to ridiculously twitchy for normal riding with loads of toe-overlap! (and freewheel, no-brakes, but you can remedy that!)

  • @ cohen,
    look on their forum!
can't remember the address, but I found my mate a frame for nothing, I'll show you lot the finished project sometime when I remember my camera when I'm in Oxford.

    @VinlyVillanous- lolsville.

  • cheers eyebrows - i presume you mean here: http://www.cyclespeedway.biz
will have a look now. thanks.

  • .
    I have:
    1 shopper/polo
    1 hipster fixed
    1 tourer/supercool fixed
    1 road bike

    I'm done.
The Moser will be completely renovated and then sold. I have no space, and now no money!

    N+1 = 4. Done.

  • its their bog standard deal:

    nothing changed but the tyres.
    Vittoria Diamante.

I don't think that at that price its insane- for the price its actually kind of unreal!

Very very nice, great value, and annoyingly the xl version is pretty much perfect for me according to my recent fitting measurements.....hmmmmm.
    Me want.

  • Just got the Nelson back from the powder coaters as the red/white/blue scheme did nothing for me. And yes I know putting some Cervelo decals on it doesn't make it one, just wanted something white to break up the expanse of red, honest :-)

  • ordering a nelson today, you had any issues with the frame?

    Hey,

I checked the danish bicycle frame number (something the law requires all importers of bicycles to use - they stamp a number in all imported frames) and it tells me that "Ritter Import" (you may remember Ole Ritter) imported the bike in '88 .. Similar graphics are in the '88 catalogue, but not this particular model.... It would be funny to have a look in '86 and '87 catalogues.. but they seem to be non-existing.. :(

Thanks for the warnings! Yeah, was planning on getting a fixed hub and a front brake on there, dunno if a rear brake will be an option, we'll see.

Got it off fleabay coz it's pretty then started looking into speedway. Like what he said, having done some trawling, there do seem to be some frames and whole bikes for sale via speedway sites for what seems like very reasonable $.

No issues at all. Very stiff and nice handling frame and still comfortable for road use. Frame comes in at 1550 for the 54 so not bad weight either.

cheers for that, just put my order in for a 60cm, hopefully should be here middle of the week (fingers crossed) been eyeing one up for a while! im actually quite fond of the paint, though we will see how long that lasts!

  • like the look of them where do you order from

    tHIS IS BEAUTIFUL!

  • "gorgeous baby blue"

    go for it!

  • like the look of them where do you order from

Nelson cycles are distributed through cyclebasket online, exclusively i think. The track f+f represent really good value for money

  • cheers, ill look into them

  • Bam!

  • Just picked up a set of Shimano 600 hubs laced to oldskool Mavic reflex'es for the pink Rossin :)
Rims are not very worn, and the hubs look great.. spokes suck a bit since they appear to be cromed and not stainless (a bit of rust a few places)... It'll do for now :)
