the Honjos definitely represent a biting of the bullet. I shall not be regretting them though, unless I can't fit them between my close-clearance skeleton brakes and the 25mm tyres (though I'm assured it's possible). They're really well made and light too. mine are the non-fluted narrow versions.
Definitely a biting the bullet time, I bought a pait of c-record pista cranks for the same price I paid for the mud-guards the same week, but they are definitely worth the money. I have never seen people so interested in mud-guards before, me included, they are quite a focal point.Looking forward to seing yours built up, I'm sure it's gonna look very classy.

you could always take all the parts off and start again,,, easy.
then do a single frame animation (is that what its called) of all the components going on...........
think of the big propz, do it!

How many 14-ish cm 1A stems with wrapped handlebars do you have?
I cannot imagine that you spoil another set of bar tape each time you change the colours/setup.;-)

Scared sh******** about cutting down my Maes handlebars to make bullhorns, any tips?

The secret is I dont tear off the sticky strip till I know I am going to keep it on.

I think it looked better with the brown regal. Maybe go for the brown suede finish fizik bar tape to get a better match to the saddle?

Mystery road/path frame.
I just need some french threaded pedals, bb nipple, seatpost bolt and white cloth bartape to finish.
If I can find out who made the frame, i'll get it refinished in more period colours. -
