vast improvement KC. having just chrome components & black tyres with the odd hint of red brings out the frame so much better than flooding it with red.
I love the barber's pole effect, very apt!

that's much better, the leather bar tape and the new set of wheels gave the bike the dignity it deserves. Job well done.

I have a battered raleigh road frame, 531 tubing, with a squashed top tube and drive side drop out. planning on taking it down to my local frame builder to play around with. i was thinking of getting him to replace the drop outs with track ones. does anyone have any experience of this? does it work or is it just weird to have a road bike with track drop outs?

i also made this rather fetching reflector out of an old reflective jacket. would be interesting to see how bright it is when riding.

Yo. I've been thinking about respraying my umeawa (my keyboard is fucked) to a solid white gloss, the pearl finish is just not sitting with me! I'm gonna be in need of a set of decals. I messaged Rene at njs blogspot to find out if he knew of a way of getting hold of some, not available apparently. Anybody got an alternative idea? Cheers!
Sorry I should have put 'lol' at the end of that last post
