It's lo-pro, doesn't need to be higher, if it was it'd look too small

i know what you mean but for me there just needs to be a bit more flesh showing on the seatpost, maybe less seat tube would do it? look i don't really care

i know what snoops means, from purely an aesthetic point of view... maybe its that fact that its layback. still very sweet looking ride though of course. and green rocks.

I have decided that my bike is probably a holdsworth. You can't see it in the photo, but it has (probably) written after holdsworth.
Turns out it's a Phillips frame, the bloke at HH jumble told me the other week... Looks better as a Holdsworth tho'... :)

Stealth wheel in progress, I followed Zinn's instructions but not sure I've done it right... Tensioning and truing to come, oh the joy, unless I've ballsed the spoke pattern up of course...

Well, it's on;y written on with felt tip pen, could always change it if I feel the urge.
I decided on holdsworth because it has EXACTLY the same lugs/seat/chainstays as elsquire's pretty black holdsworth.
Don't holdsworth manufacture a lot of frames for other people? or is t vice versa?

is that a terry dolan by any chance?
-
• #1641
no its a dedaccia. or an atom.
got it off of trackracer for £100. -
• #1642
My mate bought a terry dolan that looked exactly like that (well sort of, it had different components but the frame & forks have got the same lines/shape.)
cost him £300.It had some good bits on it too, campag wheels fixed, no brake, X-tasy stem, some super light drop bars didn't see what they were, campag bb, campag crank with 53 teeth on the ring & some crappy plastic pedals cos the guy in the shop threw them on so my mate could ride it home, but its bright yellow with red writing and stands out like a sore thumb!
He has changed the crank for a miche, threw some risers on there and a front brake. looks pretty cool (not sure if he's gonna keep it yellow cos me and my mates call him terry now.) I'll see if I can get a pic of it & post it on here to see what you think. -

that's my bike!
I want it backYou said one night of bum love and I could keep it!

it's only puppy killing if it's a really nice looking geared frame that's been converted to fixed.
i.e
old cheap rusty frames are fine, no puppies died (dont worry a|s)That bike looks amazing, geared or nay, and can easily be restored to its former gearedness. The only bad thing really are those plastic toeclips!
Ah, another puppy-killing-comment about my bike. You're all just jealous ;)
Plastic toeclips have gone a long time ago... i just put them on there as I was waiting for other pedals but couldn't wait to ride it any longer.
And yes, it can easily be restored to being a geared bike. And if you hate my Moser, you're certainly going to hate my puppy-killing Guerciotti (with crimped columbus tubing and colnago master fork)!

Holdsworth bought out a lot of frame-builders AFAIK, the lugs are really Holdsworthy tho', track ends are definitely Condor, the guy I bought it off was very definite about it being a Phillips... He'd seen you spinning 'round the track and recognised the frame right away... It was that mad bloke who was set up above the banking by the entrance...

I'm thinking of going for these wheels, just thought I'd ask advice on whether a) 32 hole will be strong enough (toepath and city riding) and b) whether I can happily run a brake on the front?
(thats Campag Omega V's onto condor hubs)
Just need practical set of wheels for winter bike.

I'm selling a pair of 32h Campy Omega V's on silver Phil Woods, buy them, much better! ;-)
-
• #1649
Yes, I saw.. but i'm looking for something a little cheaper... I think these will be ok... as long as I can use some brakes on em.

Nice one TS, looking HOT. Spoke pattern looks good, just needs tension. I am mighty tempted to build a front stealth wheel with one of these rims.
for my eyes, such a small amount of seatpost makes the frame look too big for the rider.
