    107mm JIS BB
700c front wheel - I have Rear wheel with miche single fixed hub, black v(not velocity) rim
    19t cog 1/8th
    lockring
    pedals
    brake (long reach)
    Brake lever
    The dreaded pug seatpost.

I've got a front wheel you can have, might have a broken spoke or 2 can't remember so it will need a bit of work to it, campag hub and mavic rim. What size of seatpost do you need? I've got a 27.2mm you can have too

  • whatever is wrong with the un54?

apart from being the wrong taper width of course, in this case.

just look at it: beautiful, isn't it?

  • ^ The UN54 is the unsung hero of the BB world.

  • Most evenings are spent searching through ebay's offerings one night two weeks ago I stumble on this. Poor photos and an even porrer listing :-). After a couple of bids it was mine for a song.
This came from an old man's house who died a recluse. Most of his family had not seen him for years. Being a good club cyclist in his day he mainly rode in the Leeds area. After his death the family went round to clear out the house which was full of old bike's, the old man had died in his chair, there was not even a bed in the house. Just lots and lots of bike's, frames and box's of spares.
This was found in one of the room's still wrapped in brown paper with a BJ tag straight from the shop, in a box marked with Bob Jackson were all the parts. Still in their box's waiting to be built up. Thats how I got it last weekend with a box of bits and two sets of wheels, Mavic rimed and Campy record hubs. The rest was dumped in a skip....!!!

    Wow. Great story!

No, its a really really sad story. I sometimes have visions of ending up like this. then I log off this forum and go and do something sociable.

I know it was pages and pages ago but I just have to give love to this> from AdamM.

Great work mate, looks like a really solid nice bike. Painted mudguards are ace. It just needs a brake (<a taste of your own medicine).

What width mudguards are they? The 40?

Enjoy riding it, and not needing those lovely mudguards much, in Oz.

  • This is my new project, need to sort out the stem angle, want one that is flatter, thanks to skully for the fork, its made it twitchy as fuck so great for traffic.

so all i need is for hillbilly to re lace the chubs and then a paint job and it will be finished

    Great looking bike Flick.

    What stem is that?

What colour are you painting the GT?

  • What stem is that?

Its a 1A, i have steepend the head tube angle by placing a track fork on the bike as opposed to the road forks that were intended for the GT, this makes the stem have a drop making it look more agressive than intended, i want to try and find a stem that will be horizontal, but i think i might be our of luck.

What colour are you painting the GT?

Not sure black, or something that covers up the ugly welds, but then the pink panther looks great am tempted by a deep purple, a bit like an aubergine colour. I think that would look pretty great, but not sure whether i would build it with shiny silver components or black ones, to make it more understated.

  • only a 58 :(

They did make a 60 though right?

One day.... or I might just get Goff to knock me one up

  • ^ The UN54 is the unsung hero of the BB world.

i like that paint. just sayin'

i'm sure you could get somethign sweet, but that current paint isn't begging to be changed.

looks like the bike must be small for you though.

  • daayyum skully those were some lovely forks you had there. Got any others?

Undrilled Cougars 531, nice paint. He got 'em for a song.

I posted a thread and everything. The response was underwhelming at the time. But one buyer is enough.

    Bike looks dope Seb.

Hope it still does when you get the nexus on there ;)
