Hello,
I am newcomer to fixie world, but I got new racing MTB this spring so I had spare frame to work with. Somehow I figured it will be a fixie. After a lot of browsing web and having hands from right place I built my bike. Riding fixie is sooooo great. Never thought that I can go 22 mph in no matter 20 mph headwind or tailwind. Not possible on regular bike :)
Well, here it is. Everyone is surprised to see MTB based 26" fixie.

Surely with your popularity and awesome post count on here a whipround for cheap/free parts could easily be arranged? Might not be pretty but i'm sure it'll do the job.
Bring on the LdnGrrl parts list:
- Rear wheel with miche single fixed hub, requires 3 spokes replacing, black v(not velocity) rim. Yours for a hi5 and a blue wkd ;)
Maybe some tyres and other free junk if i bother to look around the house
Heh, I'll take it if you're serious, can't cost that much to fix it?

Well, no :) I have been to London twice, seen a lot while geocaching, but without my bike. Actually I live abroad, in Ventspils, Latvia. I think London is capital city of fixies so I finally joined your forum after months of just browsing.

of course i'm serious! you're a never ending source of entertainment(in a good way, not being sarky at all) its even got a cog and everything(21t iirc so may need a bigish chainring/swap cog) braking surface is untouched and no dents to the rim.
im sure someone will replace the spokes and true up it for a wkd ;)
def got some tyres you can have that have little or no skid damage - they're breeding in my house i think. -

in fact, just buy a crate of wkds, set a date and have a build day.
i smell a list thread a-coming -

My other boike with quill stem;
I end up having to move my bike to the old Bianchi, because the quill stem is stuck as there's no way i can take it off as the bolt disintegrated to the point that the allen key can't grip on it;
back to an old friend for now, took a while to put on the wheel as there's almost no clearance for 25c tyres.

Is that the BLB BJ Ed? How long have you had it?
-
• #15170
The bike I'm moving the part from is the BLB BJ one, I need to put a hacksaw to the stem as there's no way I can removed it and would be a bit risky riding it with that disintegrated stem
edited: forget to mention that it's only temporary until the stem is sorted.
