• Hey...
You need a front wheel?
I gots me one...
I think you like.

• dibs pm'd want it without even knowing what it is or ever having seen it

• @machineisbored you're close with the comic reference there was definitely a picture of the Joker from Batman in my brain when I went green and purple.

• to the man in pink!

• wow some nice bikes up there.

• @James Alexander Are those forks of yours chromed or have you just stripped and polished them?

• Sorry, shoulda checked your original photos. What's the rear hub and BB? Did you re-use the original ones on the bike?

• that's a sex wee colour.

• that's a sex wee colour.

You might want to get that checked out :s

• @James Alexander Are those forks of yours chromed or have you just stripped and polished them?

They are chromed mate . . the BB is from an old raleigh so that the cranks could be fitted. The rear hub is from an 80s BMX and built into the rim so that the dish was equal on each side - sorting out the chain line

• just got back with this:

• bloody hell, selling the HED3 alone would be enough to fund your bike!

actually thinking about it, you can easily buy an eccentric hubs, or even an eccentric bb.

• i like the challenge of the magic gear meself Ed.. somehow I now have two lo pro frames to work the gearing out on..

• The best thing about the magic gearing, is that once you found the perfect combination to get a good tension, you won't ever need to tighten your chain again when it go slack.

• 'except when it stretches'...

etc. etc..

• I thought chain doesn't stretch?

• yes they do

• oh no they don't
here
Riders often speak of "chain stretch" a technically misleading and incorrect term. Chains do not stretch, in the dictionary sense, by elongating the metal by tension. Chains lengthen because their hinge pins and sleeves wear.
• yes they do.

• No they don't, Spok. They wear.

• No they don't, Spok. They wear.

Now with added picture of Hippy typing this post

• As if I'd use a fucking Dell. Or be married. The chainmail is kinda cool though.. where can I get some?

• .. Where can i get some?

utfs
