Sorry, shoulda checked your original photos. What's the rear hub and BB? Did you re-use the original ones on the bike?

They are chromed mate . . the BB is from an old raleigh so that the cranks could be fitted. The rear hub is from an 80s BMX and built into the rim so that the dish was equal on each side - sorting out the chain line

not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, it's in full tt mode at the moment.. but I rode it from waterloo to euston and jeez, the whirr from the wheels...

bloody hell, selling the HED3 alone would be enough to fund your bike!

actually thinking about it, you can easily buy an eccentric hubs, or even an eccentric bb.

i like the challenge of the magic gear meself Ed.. somehow I now have two lo pro frames to work the gearing out on..

The best thing about the magic gearing, is that once you found the perfect combination to get a good tension, you won't ever need to tighten your chain again when it go slack.
