My new Aende,
Was going to singlespeed her, but think I'll leave as is... few bits and bobs to do over the next few weeks.
Also, an album of Pongo himself - I'm greatly comforted knowing that my bike was built by a pipesmoker.

Picked my frame up from 14 on sunday. Ted did the track ends and armourtex the powdercoat.
I think I'll get the forks powdercoated black, was going to get some carbon ones, but the clearances on these are good.
I'm going to get some Ribble decals made up in black too. -

This '98 KHS aerotrack I have been in the works for over a year. Finally got rid of the shocking stem that it came with, and replaced the cinelli pista bars and their odd diameter clamp area with B123AAs. When I tried to remove the champ grips from the old bars I ripped a whole in one of them, so am waiting for some replacements from Ben's Cycle. I've also replace the FSA-HT plasticey black headset with the Tange Levin.
Behind is my cousin's 62cm Steamroller, we managed to find it for $420 at Jenson USA.

Making a geared bike for Paris - Montpellier next summer, and realising I know little about those fiddly gear things.
Frame was so mint (essentially NOS) that I thought fuck it that it's low-pro ..

So you're the one who paid a lots of money for that Peugeot on ebay!

Bike and a load of other parts gone in to Armourtex today for a bit of greying up.
Left to do; re-build forks, bleed brakes and install braided hose, put together when all parts arrive.
Not this Wests but next I'll be riding the new beasty.

Orange is where it's at.
Really great looking Ribble and KHS frames.
And that mint Peugeot with NOS wheels for less than £200 was a super deal.
Worth twice the price.

That is a trully stunning bike . . . Pongo was the King of the Lo Pros, the one i sold to rick was one of the nicest riding frames i have ever swung a leg over.

Thanks Vinylvillain and Soul. It's lovely to ride, never riden one before and was expecting it to be ...odd... but it's actually very nimble.
Yours / Ricks is a beauty. I think there's a picture of it in this flickr gallery, along with a "sraightened" out one, which I assume was a photoshop? There's also a picture of the pink track frame that got me wanting an Aende in the first place when I saw it on ebay a year ago :)
