i don't think i could ride with those bars more than 10miles so chapeau! -

/attachments/13416New build, just finished it today and took it out for a first ride, very satisfying - meant to be my daily beater, but might be just a bit too nice...
So you're the bloke I saw this afternoon doing a couple of RLJing from Kennington till Waterloo.
It's those expensive Alien frame isn't it?

I suppose it's horse for course really.

Don't do yourself down, mate. I'd say that's a perfectly good photograph.

Cheers.
Its fecking light for a steel MTN frame. Kitting it out with lots of Hope Tech, 2.55 tyres, belt drive, and this crankset.
Got some white 29er velocity blunts arriving in the post...:) -

I know coaster brakes have their fans but I couldn't stand to have that as my only form of braking.
I'm not convinced about coaster brakes. Fine for pootling around, I guess, but anything more than that, I'd prefer to be brakless. I'm with you, tallsam. I'd never have a coaster brake as my only form of slowing down.
Edit: It does look lovely though. Well done!

let put it this way.
the dutchs have town bike with coaster-only brake for decades, it's still there and still function, they're plenty reliable enough to even use it as your only form of slowing down.
also the velosteer one is the best one in the market, very reliable and not expensive at all, only £20 including cog.
Still need spokes, hubs, crank arms, and brakes. But well on its way :)
