Picked this up from original owner, was kept in the loft from new unbuilt, he recently built it up with modern components but never rode it, bit strange taking a bike so old out for its first ever run, goes like the wind!
Want to make it a bit more period so will be changing a number of the parts, ordered some campag cable guides for the top tube at the weekend looking for some bar end shifters next
pete
Why do you want bar end shifters?
-

as far as i can tell the bike was originally designed for bar end shifters you can see the cable guides for them just ahead of the clamp on shifters that are there currently,

Work in progress - needs new bar tape, saddle is in the post and got to change that front wheel too.

Not finished. Just wanted to get it on the road :)
I'm a real hipster now.
As soon as I can afford some new Sidi's I will swap the nasty pedals over to Roc Atacs.
Looking for a silver stem and a nice seatpost that fits. This one is shimmed.
Other things like wheels etc will be changed in due time..
Very nice...
LoProPoloco ahoy!(must get on to VB with the date...)

@ eddie: the yellow looks fine! would look amazing if you pick out all the details in white (lug lining, 'nagasawa' stamps etc). but yeah, sweet bike.

she's gonna get stripped.
there isn't gonna be a spot of yellow on it when I'm finished with it. -

at last i came about taking some photos of what i have been gathering the last couple of months.
i chose not to go down the NOS route as i can get far better performing components way cheeper. there's a pair of very very special hubs in the making somewhere on the continent...anyone know how to apply the transfers? there's no adhesives on them...

I like the yellow too! :)
Have pretty much all the bits to build up my (horrible rattle canned green future anti-porn) beater but need to get the bb faced first and can't find the time to get to the bike shop...frustrating! :(
Re: Transfers...are they the ones you put on as you paint/clearcoat that are supposed to sort of 'melt' into the paintwork?

I build these some time ago... Looks quite nice don't they? I'm a bit worried to test them out on the steet since I'm at 100kg atm...
What do you think? :)

This is my first build, indeed my first fixed gear bike.
Excuse the ergo bars, i know they look poo, but I ride the thing a lot and find them comfy for 40 mile + rides.

This page has been the best 'Current Projects' for a while
Well done, keep it up :-)

I dunno if I should restore it to its original colour/style, or if I should strip the colour completely
-
• #14197
do you just wet them then?
-
• #14198
I was only suggesting that's what they could be...not sure on how to apply them. Google?
-
• #14199
pretty sure they are water transfers, soak them, slide them in place....etc....

right, so my langster got crushed between a wall and heavily loaded camper van so i need something new. i'm considering a 56cm dolan pre cursa and i was just wondering if anyone could tell me if i should expect massive toe overlap?
I had a 56cm and the overlap was average. It is far worse on my current bike which is not even a track bike which I could never work out (Felt Breed Singlespeed cross bike)
bought this today.
don't know WHAT i was thinking.
she's got quite a bit cosmetic surgery to go through now (i'm not a fan of that yellow)
