  • That's the one I've got, in a pleasant gray to match my Fuji Track. Titanium rails, got it from Eyebrows for a bargain because of some light scuffing/scratches. Doesn't look bad though.

You've got a Flite in grey?

  • Yeah. Why?

  • Hardly! It's just a stock Track with different saddle, bars, and pedals. I think you need to see some more bikes.

I know, but I hadnt seen it in flesh! Only on a screen.

  • Yeah. Why?

Don't think I've seen one before, got a picture?

  • Actually... no. I haven't taken a photo since I put it on. I shall sort one out for you tomorrow. It's a really nice gray. Not bland at all.

  • Yeah I meant the classic black leathery Flite TI. Wonderful saddle, surprising how cheap they go for.

I'm currently looking for a white one for my new frame, rare as hen's teeth by the look of it.

    ^Bloody horrible!

    All about this:

    (IN REPLY TO ED'S COMMENT)

    Think again Max.

  • Oh hello!

  • ooh bonjour!

  • That is a saddle to take to bed.

  • Dante, you might want to post a wanted thread about a 24.8mm seatpost and enquire about the BB. Im pretty sure there will be someone out there to help you or done this kind of restoration/rebuild?

    Will do!

If you can get your hands on a 25.0 seatpost, try shoving that in.

..and by the looks of it you need a French-threaded bottom bracket.

A guy in work tells me there is a local bike 'dipping' shop that also do frame building/adjusting so they may be able to whip off 0.2mm for me, also I will be visiting a re-cycle shop to see if they have any odd sized posts in the bits bins.

Last resort might have to be shoving it in, I'd rather not get to that point though.

  • Think again Max.

    ¡Ooh, Hola!

I gotta admit, that does look comfy as fuck.

  • Check decathlon seatpost, they have them in Peugeot sizing however ugly they are.

  • Will someone explain why you lot are speaking in native languages about this saddle..
wanting to wise up on saddle knowledge

  • Ed you want to borrow my Flite or not?

You could get the seat tube reamed if that's what you're talking about.

Worth looking for a seatpost that fits first though, of course.

it's a lightweight, yet very comfortable saddle.
some say, the best road saddle out there

    Coz it's bloody awesome.

Probably weighs fuckall, and judging by the fact its the shape of a Flite, but has no padding, its probably one of the most comfortable things ever.

Oh, and it looks sweet and tech as fuck.

  • Tart!

  • I want one, I just need a bike flashy and futuristic enough for it to match.

Ponders building a carbon track bike just so I have an excuse to buy that saddle

Im sure it wont look out of place if you built a full on SHINY SHINY black bike

  • Where can mere mortals such as, perhaps, myself purchase one of these exquisite saddles? Also, pray tell, how many of your Great British Pounds might it cost me?

  • I saw a completely carboned Arione (everything is carbon, even the rail) for £300 at Condor, I suspect it'd cost that much.

    149g, pretty light.

  • Nearly done with my single speed Klein, waiting on some nice avid v-brakes from ebay, a chain and then ride time! (not bad for 7.5Kg half of which is in the tyres!)

Tempted by those lovely flight saddle images but I know I'll be happier with my concor.
Sorry for the shoddy phone photos...
