it's not like you to voice you're opinion Em.
if Mr. Cutter doesn't want them, then thats fine with me, i'll keep them. i only put clips and straps on my bike when clipless shoes aren't appropriate anyway, so the brown really doesnt bother me.
i was merely saying he's welcome to my brown ones, but i would expect them to be replaced with black ones.... hence the £30.if he'd have sent me a message saying he's got some second hand black ones, i would happily of traded.

You're right, if I think someone is being a dick then I tend to call them on it.

Just got my new bike back from Matt (Hub Cycles)
The frame is an old Dawes bought from Van Damage..
The rest are bits and pieces I slowly picked up on the
forum or eBay.. Very happy with my first fixed project.. -

Why? Because of the lack of front derailleur? Been cycling around all weekend and absolutely no problems yet.
Yup!
I thought you would know the story of David Millar and his lost Tour de France prologue...
Lots of road pro's ride with a 3rd eye chain watcher despite the front derailleur
Cyclocrossers use 2 chain guards on their single front chain wheel.
It is just a tip.
Think about it when your chain drops off. -

Recieved my 29er frame today, along with the belt drive kit. Hmmm, things coming together nicely. The gearing will be 55.8" instead of my original plan of 51.8", which might be a touch high on my local trails. Guess I'll just have to HTFU :)

I aint here just to talk ;)
Yeah, I will, using it as a beater atm, the handlebars definitely need re-taping, they don't feel nice :( But not yet ridden it as need to put it together.
After that, if the frame's all good and such, will be restoring it to MY taste. -

Does it have verticle drop outs? Are you thinking to leave it geared?
I know I'm one of the last people that you expect to offer help, but I'd be happy to trade a beer for some advice and a complete frame check. -

My point precisely.
If you'd have offered yours at a reasonsable second hand price I'd have said nothing but trying to sell your second hand, used straps to someone for the price you paid for them is, in my opinion, very cheeky.
