that sun looks pretty good for what you spent !
old cheap rusty frames are fine, no puppies died (dont worry a|s)
cheers! glad it hasn't got too much of a kicking as i'm quite attached to it despite it being a bit worse for wear and dated. the front mech was missing and the back wheel was pretty fucked up so i wrote it off as a road bike
looking forward to putting new bits on it as i get the cash, like the look of the san marco regal saddle for it but that'd pretty much be the same as the cost of the frame!
been advised to sort a better front brake for it however the wheels on it now are smaller (700c) than the originals so having trouble finding brakes with sufficient drop on them

picked up an old 'beater' off a guy who came in the shop, truns out its got full campag on it and the frame could be something interesting. After the usuall searches for old french/italian bikes and frame designs it started to look like it could be a masi, but the frame number disproves this, after a bit more digging it could be an old Wilier but finding info on these is like rocking horse shit! anyone got any info on where i could try yo find out more???
Well, let's have a look at it then...

I have decided to do justice to a 1981 Raleigh Team TI 531 frame i had sitting around. Like this but very faded:
I have started with great impatience, and have been paying too much for specific bits on Ebay, (see attachments) I wanted a full Shimano 600 Arabesque groupset, as Campag is too obvious (and too costly.)
I may still stretch for these NOSS Record black hubs though - they would look perfect with the NOSS Rigida black clincher rims I got off trampsparadise.. but these will certainly push the ££s to almost £300 by the time I'm finished! oopps.
(I don't care about mixing italian / Japanese -these hubs are like, wow.)

I want to build a Cuntster replacement. I am 5'10". What should I do?
In all seriousness though, I'm thinking of something else for my daily ride. The WAC bike is falling apart (my 0 maintenance policy in full effect) and I can't really be bothered fixing it when I can buy something new and sparkly (that's not really true I just want something new).
Does anyone have a Steamroller in 56cm I could ride around the block for 10min?

just sticker the raleigh and ride that ;)

This will be a beautiful build. If you put those rare Campag black hubs on the Raleigh you should do the proper thing and fit a full Campag Record group.
Cheap to do of you're patient. Costly if you're not.

Black anodized Campy hubs from that era are a rarity.
£60 would be a steal, but they should fetch much more.
Although you never know with eBay.
Just ask no one here to bid on them.
2 days to go ...
