Well, bare in mind mine were second hand, they came with separate rotors and mismatched pads etc. So they were pretty janky from the off.
For what it's worth my rear brake works like a dream, I'm just done faffing with the front brake/new pads etc!
If really don't don't get on with them they have a fairly high resale value...
I've got my fingers crossed for you though. If you need a hand with anything feel free to send me a PM, though clearly I've not mastered them yet ha! -

Maybe, I can't remember whether the 127mm UN55 is symmetric. If it isn't, you've probably gone too far 🙂
I’ve been looking at the UN55 BB data online and although I can’t find anything for a 127, I have for a 122mm.
Stated length 122mm
Actual length 123.2mm
Right hand stick out 28.6mm
Left hand stick out 26.6mmThis should give me a 51.2mm chainline and with a 1mm spacer on the drive side a 52.2mm. 0.3mm out but I think I can deal with that.

Finally got around to doing some work on this and smashed out nearly everything left to do.
SLX 1x11 oem eBay job, plus an SMP. BB5s, Jagwire, eBay special narrowwide.
Last thing is steerer tube trim, star nut and chain/indexing. If you're curious about the spacers I've got a wonky back and want to have all the options.

The chances of your rear triangle being aligned within 0.5mm are quite small anyway.

Yes, I am friends with Dave, so he very kindly lets me store builds im working on there, in this cast for over a year. They arranged for Steve from Arum to do the powder clear coat for me too.
@Rik_Van_Looy @MisterMikkel @t-v Glad you all like it :)

Coming together. Only got 2.5/3mm clearance at the chain stays. May go with something in a 45mm from compass. Still a lot of work to do but it’s a good start. As is it weighs 9.4kg. I think with the change in saddle, seatpost, chainset but adding the chain and mudguard I will keep it under 10kg.
Edit: excuses the mess

Bollocks, you just wanted to boast about how many bog rolls you've got.

Any suggestions on tapered headsets. Quality more important than brands or anodization. Where does quality level with price?

I always go for a cane creek 40 if I’m being budget conscious. Good bearings and keeps the water out. I’ve had Chris King, Hope and a Cane Creek 110 in the past, can’t detect the difference.

At several levels, but none of them above Cane Creek 40 for my money.

Pretty sure I wish I’d not read this, time permitting, my job tomorrow is to fit hope mini’s to my RL. New Shimano had been a consideration for me, wish I’d given it more thought.
