I have messaged Orlowski about getting a replica Steamroller fork built with a disc tab.
Ideally I want to swap out the wheelset for a 650b one, fixed gear rear and disc front hub. Does anyone have recomendations for a disc, gravel SS/fixed 650b wheelset? Preferably around the £200 mark

Did you consider a 650b straggler fork?

I actually have a 700cc Straggler fork I need to offload as I never fitted it and won't. Ideally I want a replica of the Steamroller fork. It is 5mm shorter than the Straggler and has 38mm rake as opposed to 44mm.
Thinking the wheelset may have to be custom. Hub/rim recommendations welcome.

Fair enough on the geo

These are £8, they could be a starting point -

Yeah although I am debating when 5mm of height and 6mm of rake difference is going to affect the feel that much if I am changing the wheelset.
Orlowski are 160 euros and will be Reynolds, so about £145 plus shipping, while Triton are doing the Straggler for £117 plus postage. It would be nice to have an Orlowski fork and it should be better and lighter.

those rims look like a flipping bargain

Maybe ask if omnium still sells the omnium cxc SHORT fork separately: 370mm/38mm IS mounts

5mm shorter and an fractionally less clearance, good option. Very nice looking bikes

And I have little doubt there will be many more, until Surly pull their finger out and make a disc for for the Steamroller. I have emailed them to ask.
[Edit] flipping heck, £78 plus shipping

My phone camera is shite. No idea why it looks like this, but hey. Anyway:
Road/touring/gravel rig gets a massive upgrade. 48cm nitto m177 courtesy of @ted1992 and also with thanks to @Hulsroy because he stepped down from his dibs when he realised how much I wanted these bars, and withdrew so I could get them, which is proper good behaviour. So cheers again!

Anyone know why this lo-pro frame is routed twice for one cable and two holes? There is only one entry hole up the down tube.

The smaller hole on the bb shell might be for drainage?
-
• #124392
I doubt its that tbh. It aligns the cable better than the larger hole and its not on the underside of the bb which would be a more effective place to put a hole

Has anybody used Panasonic T-Serv tires? What do you think of them?

• #124394
It's for a front mech obvs, you can see where a front mech cable ran round the BB shell.

And then where does the RD cable go?

I bought an Inbred frame to replace my cracked Gary Fisher and I'm swapping over the parts now. Can anyone recommend good affordable hydraulic discbrakes? I'm thinking about getting deore.

I'd imagine the inner cable for the RD comes out of the little hole, through the guide, along to a cable stop on the DS chainstay and then into a section of outer cable taking it to the RD.

He said there’s only one entry on the downtube so you couldn’t have both FD and RD
