Jeez Scott.. did you get a subscription to Audax Monthly or Cycle Touring Journal for your birthday or something..
You're gonna have to drink evenly from both bottles lest the handling get too weird.

Nah...i'm just gonna make sure that if i drink from the left bottle it goes into the left leg, and vice versa. ;)

finally completed this conversion of an old (30 years or so) Dawes 10 speed road bike tonight. not sure about the bars myselk, liked the look of them initially but now not so sure, and also decision was made without thinking about things like riding position and comfort etc which are probably imporant considerations. Still have the old drops , might clean them up.
looking forward to another one

i think you need a length of air hose (from an aquarium shop) a camelback bite valve and some cable ties, that way you will not have to reach down for the bottles.

Dicussing with Ed what colour I should respray the bike in. We're aguring. I need his missus's opinion!!

saying that your bike is likely to get stolen if it have colourful wheels is hardly arguing lillpad!
-
• #12119
I just told ya I already decided on NOT getting colour wheels ffs! And dont call me that, I hate it :(

• #12120
wow. i take back what i said, scott. very nice work.

scott- those brakes look ridiculously powerful! i love paul components especially the brakes.
whats the deal with all the lights, is the silver one removable to use if needed for general use, or was the massive black one just not powerful enough by itself? are the knogs there for when its not really dark enough to waste the big lights batterys but somthing is still needed to make you visable?
how is it useing the aero bars on a loaded bike, i dont have any experience but i always assumed heavy loaded bike + aero bars = bad.
i get that you have a frame bag so no room there, but im not keen on the bottle on the forks idea. doesnt this really bog down the handling or is not really noticable?

Hmm my halford bike lights are gunna look crap. Im gunna utfs soon. Ive settled on recolouring my frame now and wheels. And re-taping the handlebars. But it will take me forever to do on my gitane with hardly any income. :( so meanwhile ill just sit here and be jealous.

Went up to have a look at my frame at Steve Goffs yesterday.
I'm so excited...should be ready in around a week! It's a forward sloping triple triangleAs I'm sure you can tell the real triangle bits are all just rested in place, so the geoms not bang on, but you get the idea!

Yeah, but its equally as likely to get returned due to the ridiculousnessness of the paintjob.
is a formula:
where r= ridculousnessness of the paintjob
and v= visibility
and s= stealability
and d=returnability:as r increases v increases with it:
hence r=v
v and s are linked but due to the the fact that s has other factors such as:
l=locked upness
and i=idiot quota
it is not as linked as r and v.
hence
r= v= s x (i + l)hence we can say that
s= r/(i+l)also the returnability rises with increased ridiculousnessness but has the factors:
p= pervasiveness of the public conscious (i.e. how much of a show off you are)
and
z= laziness of the theif
and of course vhence d= vzp
therefore:
d= vzp= s(i+l)zp
or s=d/(i+l)zp
Thus we can see the benefits and costs of having a ridiculous paintjob quite simply.
(this was taken from the textbook 'Completely bollocks maths can prove almost any point' written by Prof. D Wiesenbach and Dr. R Stude
edit whilst writing all that drivel 2 new lovely bikes have been put up.
very, very, very nice.
