Not liking the RS505 levers on my Seqouia and toying with the idea to go straight bar with sweep it begs the question if can use any hydro mtb brakelevers for RS505 calipers?
-
• #117930
afaik mtb and road hydro levers have the same pull. (Ultegra/XT do anyways, mate of mine did the same)

I have mounted the widest Cowchipper bar on the brainfart. This bike brings a slight grin to my face every time i ride it.

Well it's the best bike for me thats for sure, although that does not stop me from lusting over various other ones. And there definitively are lots of super cool ones all over this forum. But i'm quite charmed by the kind feedback my brainfart gets from you folks!

Do you reckon a track cyclist would be exactly as fast on the same bike with a freewheel?
Yes. When riding a geared bike with a freehub or freewheel on a track, you never hear the ratchets in the freehub or freewheel working while you're pedalling. If the ratchets aren't working then it is functionally no different to a fixed drive train, because the ratchets are the only things allowing it to be not fixed gear.

Child friendly thumb shifter for 6 speed tourney.
Also, what do I need to look at to make 6 speed 8 speed and then which thumb shifter is child friendly and 8nspeed.
Nah, just somebody who knows some stuff other people worked out. The original expert was presumably the person who originally persuaded cyclists that it was possible to use a freewheel on a bicycle. The freewheel must have seemed like magic to people with a 19th century understanding of pedalling dynamics.
