The cold formable alloys/tempers are generally cheaper than the one's which aren't 🙂

My anecdotal experience of trying to reshape a cheap aluminium front rack was that it was very brittle/bits snapped off.

That can definitely happen, I was just being pedantic (quelle surprise)

If you have a pipe wrench, you can grib it with that and use strips to secure the handle.
That's how I got mine out of the GF's bike.

I managed to get it out by jamming wire coat hangers in the pin holes and twisting them. Worked in this case, it must have been nice and loose.

Finding a decent 1 1/8 fork proved to be a pain but i now have a 2018 reba on order and a suntour axon rl rc in the post. Once the rebas arrive they will go on this and suntour rl rc will go onto a build for the wife.

This thing is a blast to ride!

electric Bullitt, should be fun! just don't try to balance it like a normal bike at low speed and make sure the front wheel doesn't slide out on wet/mucky roads, you'll be on your side within the blink of an eye

Just finished this Surly Pacer for a friend, what a lovely frame it is, you can even fit 40mm tyres so really a kind of do-it-all cruiser
