Nice rides from Bobob, fresh and andyp. And Scrapper! I saw my first real live Scraper Bike this morning, on Leonard street, black and red and making funny noises....
My little boy's gonna be riding with me soon - on his very own Dave Yates... the lucky sod! He got too big for the child-seat thing. This just arrived in the post, including garish 80s paintjob, a fancy head lug, cool adjustable stem and some fillet brazing to boot!:
He'll grow up to be a hipster with risers on his first bike

nice, you got quite a bit of work to do, but it'll be worth it.
who built it? -

it's a Lee Cooper... same as mine.
you gonna file all the fillet brazing smooth?
he doesn't normally smooth them completely on the lo-pro's..... it should look nice, good effort.

I've bought a Lo-Pro made by Lee Cooper, really enjoyed the ride. I'll get some pics up here soon, when the build is finished.
I have a major snag now though... I got a bit carried away tightning the seat tube bolt and it snapped, leaving half the bolt still in the frame. I've managed to get it out now but the thread is gone completely. Looks like I'm gonna have to drill the whole thing out and start again.

bummer.
i had one of the first Lee Cooper/14 lo pro's back in March, and they didn't have the integrated seat post clamp back then, just had to use a standard seat post clamp. it must be a fairly new addition.

Yeh I know what you mean... I went in to 14 and spoke to them briefly yesterday. They were really good about it and said they'd give me hand fixing the problem.
I had a look at their other frames and the intergrated clamp is different for the other bikes. i.e. they using and nut and bolt system rather that just screwing the bolt into the frame.
I wish they'd stuck with the standard seat post clamp, tis much easier to replace if it fails.

I thought that might take a bit longer.
Off to Armourtex tomorrow, I'll see if a bit of persuading can get it turned around in a day. Unlikely I'm sure. When I placed my order I asked for an integrated seat clamp & they said they're standard from now on anyway.

Amateur porn IMO not quite hardcore but still worth a bash.
The cat is always grumpy looking, I may take the fork stickers off, not sure yet. It says Dave Marsh a lot!
