  • Hah. Had just ordered one of these stems as well. Looking good!

  • @negaatio looking brill

backs up my belief that gumwalls only look good on one-colour rims

  • I have some new crankset on my bicycle!
After the new dynamo hub and lights, I'm not sure it is a great choice, but I think it looks alright. In real life, the colour of the frame and cranks are closer than in the picture...
    New crankset!

  • nice gt! add salsa quill and a sleeker saddle and thats prolly-material :-)

  • What cranks are they?

  • Rotor Agilis... Dunno which year.

@negaatio Thanks! I can't find any Salsa stem under 100mm unfortunately. This one suits me for the time being.

  • They're cool. I need some for my donohue, where did you find them and were the pricey?

  • I found them second hand on the french Gumtree equivalent. They cost me €110 but they are in very good shape.
The other designs of these cranks aren't all amazing. I was looking for hollowed/CNCed spiders, and they weren't much option, except some FSA carbon cranksets.

  • what rims are those?

  • t700 china carbon clinchers 25mm wide 50mm deep U profile

  • New fork coming along!

  • Oooh, that's fucking awesome! Are you doing it yourself? What if the wire (or solder) cracks and needs replacing...? As in how the hell did you feed it through those tiny holes in the first place?

  • Thanks! It's being done by a local builder. No idea how he managed to feed the wire but we talked about it beforehand and he mentioned the importance of not making the holes too small :) I ripped off the connections on my SP dynamo last year when touring so I´m hoping this will be a bit more idiot safe.

I'm also adding 10mm of rake since I usually pack stuff on the front and a disc mount since I have grown to truly hate cantilever brakes. Really looking forward to it being done!

  • Best silver 1/8th chain for winter riding? Been using silver DID's for the past couple years but wondering what else is available

  • KMC 510HX forever and always

  • Sram PC1

  • Best silver 1/8th chain for winter riding?

Wippermann 1Z1, although the fact that you even bothered to mention the colour suggests that you might not love the particular shade of silver. KMC Z1X Inox is OK if you can tolerate bushingless chain on your fixie biek

  • Used to have a 1Z1 based off your recommendation. As smooth as it was, the colour was definitely a challenge

@B0N0R is a messenger so I'll trust his knowledge on this one. Z510-HX has been ordered

  • Life's good when you can pick up a frame at the painters. Belgian Martelly neo-retro project in progress...

  • Also finished a 1975 Plume Sport today. Full pre- CPSC campagnolo nuovo record group and all original, except new cables and bar tape. Rims have been replaced on the original '75 hubs back in the day.

  • Today I have been mostly transferring my old bottle cage onto my new whip
