  • The seta is waiting for a matching front wheel (araya on phil) and i hope the tr02 find a new owner soon.

  • Paint look all gud, why the respray?

  • paint & bar tape look da business to me!

  • Looks very promising. Black seatpost and saddle?

Tub tape on the front is so much easier imo<<<<

  • Really like arundel steel but bit too pricey for thing that holds bottle.

Are you sure you didn't confused the price with the carbon version? the steel one is worth buying (as well as the King Cages).

  • Full pictures please. Looks sick. What's wrong with the paint?

  • Nope, was looking at steel.
At first 26 euros felt bit too much, but I hate to death my current cheap tacx, so I guess it is worth paying bit more for bottle holder.

  • Best bang for your buck is always the Elite bottle, but those steel one are awesome, I've abused mine quite a lots and it still held the bottle tightly without scratching it.

  • This is RAd As Fiuck

  • @Gaston_Fr points for noticing lack of glue, test fit only but will tape anyway just for you ;)
Photo is flattering, frame has had a busy life, could use a refresh. Build should be done late next week hopefully.

  • Digged out this Columbus frame (said to be Montagner) from my garage for a friend of mine. Got it all broken in an exchange for a steel wheelset, since then my dad's mechanics did some brazing and welding and I hope it will hold together. Should get a powercoat job to protect the steel and then we will try playing with some vinyl. Wheels are of the fleamarket for 10 Euro and the rest of the build is incoming from Planet-X (we went with black and cheap is good-strategy). Here are some pics of the scars.

  • Thinking of respacing my 2013 Pompino from 120mm to 130. Bad idea?

^ go for a clearcoat to show off those scars! Nice project. Chainstay dent looks a bit sketchy though.

  • better photo, c-record cranks feel stiffer than super record

  • That was my plan for it, clear coat (also for checking the repair done on the downtube) rat bike build. But I am never home and the frame was just gathering dust and rust and the friend I gave it to is rather a shiny bike person!

  • threw this together to do some cardio on - pedal instead of eating during movies. trading in the beer belly for aero points..

could anyone point me in the right direction for some pads for the extensions? (3ttt bio arms) already pm'd @BigH, but still.. i'm finding myself in their position:

  • I took an old Raleigh Record Ace from 126 to 120. Then out to 130 and then 135. Now back to 130 (I used to change the setup a lot). The frame is still going strong. Fitting a Nexus 8 Hub is next on the plans.

Just make sure you line up the dropouts parallel, not just splay the chain/seatstays.

  • BREAKING NEWS (No pun intended):

Just placed a order for the a new bike and it not a crackyon. Should be with me in 4 weeks.

New 'beater' is on its way.

  • Good idea. Get some proper cam QRs and it will be great with road wheels.
Use the Sheldon Brown method for respacing though. And get yourself a vernier caliper for measuring.

  • If its only for turbo-ing then you might want to level the saddle. That or a thick book under the front wheel. I use Further Mathematics Vol 2, although I believe any book will do.

  • Greased hubs, trued wheels & some good old Mothers.
