Lobsters, Crab and Mackerel were all gratis.
Duck and Chickens courtesy of a friend at a farm shop.
It's what makes coming home totally excellent, and reminds me why I love the place. Still looking forward to getting back to London/Brighton. -

Been invited out for a family get together at a steaky place tonight - various cousins all in London etc. AND got paid back about 500 quid in expenses I was owed from work today.
"BOOM" as they say.

Tonight I am dining at Caldesi in Campagna in Bray. One of my favourite Italian restaurants cannot wait!

Tonight I'm having an omelette and a glass of white wine with a little salad. Also cannot wait!
*Would prefer Caldesi though...

Then your choice should be based on whatever the sommelier recommends and work backwards from there to the correct choice of steak.

I made bread last night for the first time. Found a recipe online and jotted down a shopping list when I was at work, got to the shops, bought ingredients, got home and couldn't find the recipe again. So I just made it up. I knew what had to go in, and I knew I'd need to leave the dough to prove and need to knead etc.
The result was some tasty wholemeal beer bread rolls. There are now none left :)
Tonight I'm trying cheesey bread, possibly with olives.

Went with the porterhouse. Bit pricey for what was ostensibly a bit of dead cow - but it was undeniably meaty and tasty in equal measure. 28oz though and I must confess I wasn't anything like full. Nice coffee after and looking forward to a detour night ride home.

Today was too wet to pick Strawberries. So went out to Wiveton Hall late afternoon, had some salt and pepper squid and a Norfolk paella. Then cycled over to Morston with a friend to his boat out and made strawberry daqurirs, eaton mess and drunk rum. Back to London tomorrow, but have eaten like a champion these last few days.
