It's called fucking eggy bread.
Eggy bread is just bread dipped in whisked egg and fried. I know some people who sugar it before eating whilst others will use a more savoury condiment such as ketchup.

I know an irish girl who makes savory french toast with rosemary. it's good, but I can't wrap my brain around it.

today I harvested 11 figs from my garden. Figs, basil, mozarella, Parma ham dressed with good olive oil, salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar. Admittedly it's a jamie Oliver recipe but works so well scooped up with good bread.
I can vouch for this.
