Eggy bread is just bread dipped in whisked egg and fried. I know some people who sugar it before eating whilst others will use a more savoury condiment such as ketchup.

  • I know an irish girl who makes savory french toast with rosemary. it's good, but I can't wrap my brain around it.

today I harvested 11 figs from my garden. Figs, basil, mozarella, Parma ham dressed with good olive oil, salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar. Admittedly it's a jamie Oliver recipe but works so well scooped up with good bread.

  • I've currently got this cooking in the oven. Except it's Beef and Spitfire Ale Pie. Pics will prob be on my flickr food section later. Using up the pastry left over from the Beef Wellington last week.
