  • I went to Pit Que, my mate's bbq truck yesterday. I couldn't eat anything there (even the aubergine was injected with pig fat), but I did have a Pickle Back.

It was awesome. The pickle juice was from home made bread and butter pickles, the whiskey was perfectly matched...

    Go. Enjoy.

  • What's a Pickle Back?

  • Not convinced.

  • Made the other night, caramelised onion and emmental risotto.

Caramelise one and a half finely chopped onions
Make your risotto blanc (vege stock, white wine, etc)
Take of heat and stir in onions and a couple of handfuls of grated emmental

    Tangy and sweet.

    10/10

  • Not convinced.

They are AWESOME, and a good way to accelerate the drunk process...

  • Mrs Glover did tea last night, spiced and grilled chicken breast with Greek salad, tzatziki and warm pita bread, ripe for stuffing.

  • I'm just basically telling you what I had to tea here aren't I? I'll come back when I've done something spectacular.

  • My boss gave me these today:

fresh quail eggs from his garden.

  • Mini scotch eggs... DO IT

  • mini sausage and eggs. :D

    chinese sausage for the win

  • what buckaroo said

  • mini sausage and eggs. :D

    chinese sausage for the win

    nouveau balki, nouveau.

  • Is that an amuse balks?

  • a bit wank tbh. more trouble than they were worth

  • need ostrich eggs

  • make a tiny omlette.

    it'll blow people's minds.

  • yep... tiny omlette for brekkie fo sho

  • or throw them at an annoying neighbours house who also happens to be a midget.

  • decorate them to look like cadburys mini eggs and play a prank on an unsuspecting kid.

  • yeah hard boil them and dip them in chocolate and give them to people. tell them they're supposed to eat the shell

  • plain old hard boiled quails eggs with celery salt ftw

  • Just back from a fookin' amazing feed at Saigon Saigon on King Street with Prancer.

Crisp, tangy, veg filled crepe for starters, perfectly sweet grilled aubergine, garlicky greens, a big bowl of vermicelli topped with stir-fired mixed veg and shredded beancurd for the main [and he had some dark meaty thing which seemed to go down well].

And I thought this part of London didn't do decent Vietnamese food.
