Balki, Jaw and I volunteer to judge any cook-off.
Best idea of the year!
I'm doing burritos tonight, refried and pinto beans are on the go, guacamole done, chipotle salsa done as well. Veg for me and arrachera for Mrs jaw. Pacifico is stacked in the freezer with a bottle of cava and not to forget the tequilla infused lemon granita. Roll on 12 o'clock....
Happy New Year!!!!!

Nothing in the house.
Is there anywhere nice to eat that's open tonight and won't turn me away because I haven't booked? It may have to be digestive biscuits.
I do have two bottles of Taittinger in the fridge though, so life isn't all bad.

Today's the laziest day of the whole year... it has to be.
My head doesn't work, my arms don't obey my body... still I've managed to make a
fruit cake (lol), pears, apples and blackberries in a Sultana dough. It's baking now.
Will show you peoples from the internetz, how it all comes out. Soon.I was dreaming of double cream this morning.
...And my head still hurts. -

Good one spotter! Is that all your creation? If so, congrats dude!
Loads of effort in cooking always pays off! -

Not all mine no, I did it with my parents.
I really should post here more, I am spoilt rotten with food when I'm at home. My mum has taught cookery for 20 years or so. My dad has had to learn to cook well too, as the last thing my mum wanted to do when she came from being in the kitchen all day was cook. -

re-used the goose fat I'd frozen from xmas on the spuds and parsnips.
and made chestnut stuffing.Xmas pud and ice cream for afters.
Lovely.
I was too lazy to take pictures of it though.
Tomorrow, will be another rolling buffet

Pannetone b n' b pudding is awesome. My mother didn't make it this year because the rest of my family are big wetlips and don't appreciate pudding, and I forgot to buy one.
