I need some suggestions for tonight dinner. I've got a stinking cold so I want something nice and comforting. Finishing work at lunchtime so slow cooked things are a possibility. I have a very fine butcher down the road too.
I will take photos and jazz if it's worth it.Oh, and no fish.

Stew. Beef stew. Thick, gloopy stew with big chunks of root vegetables.
Yesterdays beef stew, reheated.
Betterer.

Bloody hell! It was ages that I didn't hear about that!
It reminds me my youth, when I used to sit and find the meal ready.

My butchers didn't have any veal shins, they are a special order. So I'm making do with a lamb shank instead
So Lamb Osso Bucco is in the oven!

Can I just bung it in flower and into a pan with butter? No messin about?
I wouldnt even bother with flour, just get the pan mega hot with veg oil, seal it (non-skin side first) and then pop it in the oven to finish, for last few minutes I'd put some butter in, boom
That was crackin'. Thanks for the advice all.
Good shout, Tiswas.
