It looks and tastes amazing. I Would be more excited but I’m getting sick and I just my want to eat and go to sleep.

I have le crueset griddle pan that was part of a wedding present set from 8 years ago, but I never use it because the one I bought from Robert Dyas for a Tenner 15 years ago is way better. Well, it’s my favourite anyway.

The griddle pan is terrible IME.

It was in the magazine they do every week; you can get cast iron frying pans from Nisbets for not much more but the casseroles are all at least double these prices

We had them last night and the night before.

After making them a few times, the only alteration I make is a teaspoon of mustard seeds along with the cumin.

Oh nice! Will try that. I had some peas left over from the kid’s dinner so chucked them in. Loads left over so will have for lunch.... possibly breakfast as well. Need a good achar pickle recipe as well now.

I'm a bit tempted by an Anova Precision oven https://anovaculinary.com/anova-precision-oven/ Not as outrageously priced as I expected and a second oven would be useful generally.

I can't spot any dimensions on the website though so I'm using that as an excuse not to buy one.

My Indonesian grandmother would call pickles 'atjar' (or 'acar' in modern spelling), only just learned it's actually a Hindi word.
